A loud noise woke me up.
It took me a moment to realize where I was.
I woke up in the hospital with the light blinding my sensitive eyes.
It's amazing how often I wake up in a hospital bed.
The last time my psycho ex best friend tried to kill us all.
I felt miserable and dizzy and when I looked around there was no one far and wide.

I wonder if Mason is there.
No.
If Mason knew anything had happened to me, he would have been by my side by now.

Mason is probably still at his uncle's and Ruby isn't here to pick me up now either.
Oh man I really need friends.
A doctor came into the room after a while with a nurse.
He had a chart in his hand and the nurse looked a little worried.
Slowly I started to panic.

,,Good afternoon, Ms. White," the doctor said.

,,Doctor, what happened?" I asked.

,,You fainted in the park and a young man kindly called an ambulance, which then brought you to us," he explained.

,,Oh, what's wrong with me?" I asked worriedly.

,,We need to do some more tests to find out," he explained.

,,Did you often have that feeling you had in the park?" the nurse asked me, taking down everything I said.

,,Yes, I have been feeling like this for a while.
Almost every morning I throw up and I feel dizzy all the time," I explained.

,,I see," she said while looking at the doctor.

What is going on here and why are they looking at each other like that?

,,My assistant will take care of you while we wait for the test results, Ms. White," the doctor said.

,,Okay," I said quietly.

The doctor walked out the door and the nurse said she was going to get the test results and I should wait that long.
What if it's something bad and I'm really seriously ill?
What if I have cancer?
That could very well be since my grandma and great grandma had cancer too.
Oh God I don't want to die.
I was worrying way too much and it was killing me that I didn't know what was wrong with me.
I looked at my cell phone.
It was just about 11:30.
Mason would be gone all day, which means when they release me I'll be home alone again.
I don't mind Mason working so much, on the contrary I think it's great that he's pursuing his dream of becoming a cop, but I'd rather have my Mason at home with me.
Nothing feels as good as when me and Mason snuggle up on the couch in the evening while watching Netflix.
Even though he complains that the shows I want to watch with him are all cheesy I know he likes it on the inside.
The nurse came back into the room and I had never been so nervous as I was now.

,,And?" I asked impatiently.

,,I can assure you that it's nothing bad," she said, which calmed me down a lot.

,,What is it then?" I asked.

,,When was your last period?" she asked me.

Why does it matter?
I thought, but I couldn't remember.

,,I don't know," I admitted.

,,I see, and are she and her boyfriend using contraception?" she asked me.

Yes, me and Mason almost always paid attention except for a few little slips.

,,Yeah, most of the time," I said.

,,Why does that matter?" I asked, confused.

,,Ms. White, congratulations, you're pregnant," she said, and my blood froze in my veins.

,,W-what?"
