Walking through the hallways of the school I tune out Caroline's questions. My focus entirely on last nights nightmare as I try to piece together what's happening and why Emily Bennett of all people would have it out for me. I'm pulled from my wandering thoughts by my twin shaking my shoulder lightly. Looking up, I identify the familiar look of concern he has plastered on his face usually when I'm around, and instantly feel guilt pool in my stomach knowing he'll have grey hairs by the time he's twenty.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." I say meekly,
"About your crazy dream last night?... Caroline told me." He explains, seeing my confused look.
"Yeah, about that. What exactly does this mean?" Said blonde interjects,
Sighing, mentally exhausted I say honestly "I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"It means I don't know Caroline!" I snap instantly regretting it as I see her eyes widen in shock and hurt,
Closing my eyes in penitence. I look back to my best friend wincing, "God, I-I'm sorry Care. It's just I really don't know... If I'm being honest, it could be a number of things. It could be because I'm not a regular witch, or because I'm helping Damon, or 'cause she somehow found out I know a part of the future-"
Interrupting me, she brings me in for a brief hug. "Hey, it's okay. I'm sorry, I shouldn't push. It's just, it's weird for you to not know something y'know."
"Yeah she's just worried. We both are. I mean this dream hurt you Madsy." Ty interjects sharply, holding my grazed palms as evidence.
Seeing the familiar olive skinned girl heading in our direction, I hastily pull my hands from Tyler's and hide them behind my back. Catching sight of his and Care's confused expressions, I discreetly point to my left as Elena walks up to us hesitantly, avoiding any eye contact with me.
"Hey, uh, have you guys talked to Bonnie?"
We all shake our heads, as my lips part in realisation. I have to stop myself from slamming my head on the locker behind me, as I remember the new witch is also being haunted by her ancestor.
"Where's Stefan? Maybe he's seen her." Tyler asks, seeing as neither myself or Caroline are going to talk to the newest doppelgänger.
"Oh, he- he's with Lexi right now." She clarifies sneaking glances at me,
Shaking my head at her obviousness. I huff, "Look Elena what happened yesterday, water under the bridge yeah? 'Cause even if we both don't like each other, we're going to have to at least try to be civil... for Bonnie."
