Standing in the heat of the sun feeling exposed in only a hot pink bikini and blue denim shorts I listen to Caroline as she gives everyone their designated jobs for the 'Sexy Studs Car Wash' in the school parking lot,
"No friend discounts. No freebies. No pay ya laters. We are not running a charity here. No, we are not."
"No we are not." Myself and Elena recite together shaking our heads in mock solemnity as Caroline lays out the ground rules.
However, from my peripheral vision I see Elena's face light up with a smile, without having to turn my head I already know she is looking at a certain vegetarian vampire. Only now coming to the conclusion that they rely way too much on each other for their own happiness. I guess that's something they have in common, they find happiness in others rather than themselves.
"Hi. Maddison, Caroline" He nods towards us,
"Hey!" "Hey Steffie."
He pauses and raises a questioning brow, "Steffie?"
"Yup. I thought it was time to upgrade our relationship status from mutual friends to friends. And friends have nicknames for their friends."
He laughs at my antics not seeing Elena rolling her eyes, "So I guess I'll have to find a nickname for you then?"
Caroline interjects graveness written all over her face, "A piece of advice, don't call her Madsy. That's Tyler's nickname for her. One time Matt called her by that name in 6th grade and by the end of the day he had a broken nose."
Stefan purses his lips at that information as I cringe at the memory of Matt's bloody face although it was a great day, the only one who didn't find it funny was Elena as I remember her fussing over him as he smiled like a Cheshire Cat from her concern. That boy was whipped the day they met.
"Noted."
Suddenly Caroline shrieks, "Hey! The event is called sexy suds, you know. Remove the clothes." She demands looking them up and down distastefully before spotting some class mates messing with the soap. She storms towards them tugging me with her but not before hearing Elena and Stefan,
"Did we just get scolded?"
"And judged, yeah."
"Wow."
After being pulled around by Care for two hours I finally manage to get away from her. She can be scary when disciplining people our own age. It also may have brought on flashbacks of my old life when my parents would shout at me non-stop for not doing anything right, but that's not her fault. So I head towards Jenna spotting her, hoping to get my mind off of it when I see her near the news van looking at Logan 'Scum-Fell' the news guy who she used to date in high school,
