"Just be grateful he's only getting a year. The other Kages and I lowered his sentence because of his contributions to the war and the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Or else he would've been stuck there for five years or more," she firmly stated.
"Are we allowed to go see him?" Asked Sakura.
"As of right now, no. But sometime later, I will allow it."
"Then we'll be back in the near future to see how he's doing. Thank you," I bowed to her before turning around and leaving the office with my two teammates.
~A Week Later~
"Thanks for coming with me to check out the prosthetic arm."
"Of course."
Naruto and I were waiting outside on a bench as we waited for Lady Tsunade to call him in.
"Naruto. (Y/n)," softly spoke a familiar voice and we turned out heads to the right and saw Gaara, Temari and Kankuro.
"Hey!" I waved at them and they returned it except for Gaara who used his sand to hand me a yellow dandelion in front of my face.
"Huh?" I glanced between the flower and him although he slightly turned his head away to avoid seeing the ever growing embarrassment on his face.
"Oh thank you, Gaara."
"I told you it would work," Temari nudged Gaara's arm and pinched his cheek which he endured.
"Where's my flower from when I was at the hospital?!" Blurted Naruto with a hint of jealousy as he watched me receive a flower from someone else, a close friend.
"Because Gaara isn't you nor other guys," bluntly said Temari and I clamped my hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing like a madwoman while Kankuro bursted out laughing.
"Sorry buddy, you'll have to try your luck with Sasuke," shrugged Kankuro and Naruto stuck his tongue out at him.
"I'm sure that new right arm you're getting is gonna please him if you know what I mean," I winked and playfully nudged his shoulder. It took him a second to realize what I meant before his face turned pale and a horrified expression replaced it.
"Don't say that!!" He shrieked.
"Good one (Y/n)," chuckled Temari as she lightly slapped my arm.
Gaara cleared his throat to diffuse and change the conversation, "What's he up to?" Despite saying him, we knew that he was referring to Sasuke.
"Ah, well I really don't want to say much. I promised I wouldn't."
"I see," nodded Gaara.
I realized that I had not gone to go see him yet and I had a feeling I would be the last one from our team to do so.
~One Month Later~
"Hey..." I softly said to the Uchiha as I took a seat on the chair outside of his cell. He was seated on the bed with his entire body being restrained by a straightjacket.
He raised his head up from staring at the ground and met my face that he longed to see. It has been a month since we last saw each other although we've gone longer without seeing each other, but he appeared relieved to see me once again.
"(Y/n), you came."
"Yeah, sorry it took me so long to come. I wasn't sure if I would be allowed to come already. But how are you holding up in here?" I asked him.
"Fine. I can't do much," his onyx eyes traveled down to his straighjacket and I understood what he meant.
"Right, my bad."
