"What apartment is Peggy Carter in?" Sousa questioned as he showed his SSR ID badge to Miriam, who was the one that ran The Griffith.

"Officer, if I gave every girl's information out to every Tom, Dick, and Gary who came in here-" Jack didn't even give the woman a chance to finish speaking as he grabbed her clip board and flicked through the pages.

On the car drive over to The Griffith, Evelyn was asked if she knew which room was Peggy's. The girl claimed that she'd never stepped foot into Peggy's apartment, the only part of The Griffith that she had been in was the lobby.

"I'm so sorry about this ma'am, we just really need to find Peggy Carter." Evelyn apologised as she placed her hand on the woman's bicep, earning a disapproving look from her.

Sousa lightly pulled Evelyn behind him once he noticed the sharpe glare that Miriam was sending the brunette. He tried to bite back a chuckle, wondering why the woman had a new found hatred for Evelyn.

"What are you doing? Get out of there. That's confidential." Miriam continued to tell Jack, although he didn't appear to be listening.

Jack scoffed at the woman, not paying any attention to her in the slightest. He grabbed Evelyn and pulled her into his arms. Her hand rested on his chest as their eyes scanned the clipboard for Peggy's name and room number.

"She's in 3E." Jack announced as he threw the clipboard back down on to the front desk and lead the way to the third level.

"Let's go." Sousa nodded to the other agents, who were patiently waiting by the front door for their instructions.

"What? Men are not allowed above the lobby. It's a safety issue." Miriam shouted as she followed after the agents and Evelyn. "I want your badge numbers and the name of your immediate supervisor."

Everyone was seemingly ignoring the woman, which made Evelyn feel guilty. She could tell that the woman was under a lot of stress. She had a lot to deal with, making sure that all the women were down for dinner at the right time and making sure that no men made it past the first floor.

She couldn't imagine living in a place like The Griffith, with so many rules and regulations that must be followed. The girl valued her freedom and peace too much. She couldn't bare the idea of sharing a house with so many other people.

"Ma'am, step back. There, boys. Right around the corner." Jack announced before pulling out his gun. "Evie, stay at the back." His eyes softened as he spoke to her, he knew that she and Peggy were close but this was a mission that needed to be done.

Evelyn went to protest but before she could, two of the agents pulled her back and behind them, blocking her from getting past. The girl jumped slightly once she heard Jack kick open the door and walk into Peggy's room.

"Search everywhere, bag everything. It all comes with us." Sousa announced as Evelyn pushed her way into the room, she didn't care to she pushed to get inside .

Her eyes flickered around for any sign of Steve's blood, just incase Peggy didn't make it there in time or if something else happened. Even she knew that the SSR shouldn't get their hands on the last remaining vial Steve's blood.

She could only assume the worse. She could imagine that they'd run hundred of tests on his blood to try and extract the serum and she knew that's not what Steve would have wanted. Steve deserved to rest now, as much as it hurt the girl to think about.

"Oh. My wall." Miriam gasped once she saw the hole in the wall. Evelyn smiled to herself, knowing that Peggy had Steve's blood and that it would be safe. "I knew she was trouble the minute I laid eyes on her. Those girls from the telephone company are all the same."

Evelyn couldn't help but role her eyes at the dramatic woman. She didn't know why Miriam had an almost instant disliking to her but Evelyn wasn't afraid to reciprocate those feelings.

"She's here somewhere. I know it." Sousa uttered as Jack grabbed Evelyn's hand and pulled her into his chest.

She had to remind herself not to let out a small squeal at how close he wanted to be to her. She had to tell herself that they were on a mission, despite her not wanting to be there. Evelyn loved being close to Jack, it made her feel safe and happy.

"Okay. But where?" Jack questioned as he looked around the room again.

There was seemingly no sign of Peggy. There were no clothes on the floor that signalled that she packed a bag and left in a hurray. Other than the gaping hole in the wall, everything seemed normal.

"We could check with the neighbours." Evelyn suggested, knowing for a fact that Peggy was smarter than that. She wouldn't hide in a friends or neighbours bedroom. "Is there anyone that she is partially close too?"

"There's Angie Martinelli, they always talk with one another." Miriam hissed through her teeth as she spoke to Evelyn.

"You're a genius, remind me why you're not an agent again?" Jack questioned as he cupped the girls cheeks and tilted her head back to make her look up at him.

Evelyn couldn't help but allow a wide smile to make it's way onto her face, followed by a blush. Jack gave her the cliche butterflies and she loved it. She never wanted them to go.

"Because, Agent Thompson, if I too was an agent, then who would give you therapy?" Evelyn questioned with a grin.

"You're so right." Jack chuckled, leaning down and pressing their noses together. From behind him, he heard Sousa clear his throat, to remind them that they weren't alone.

Jack quickly stood up straight and looked around the room with a blush forming on his cheeks before he said,

"Let's go and find Peggy Carter."

Evelyn knew that they wouldn't find Peggy now, she had either made her escape or she was hiding. If Evelyn knew one thing it was that if Peggy Carter didn't want to be found, then she wouldn't be.
