Harry’s POV
I walk into Mr. Payne’s, the school counselor’s, office shaking. My fist are balled up and are as pale as a ghost. I decide not to knock knowing he is probably already expecting me. I burst in the door and I guess startle Mr. Payne a bit seeing that he jumped up when I walked in.
“Hello Harry.” Mr. Payne says calmly once he realizes its me.
“Hi Mr. Payne.” I slump down in the chair that is across from his desk.
“It’s fine if you want to call me Liam, Harry, you know that?”
“I know.” I sigh loudly and ruffle my hair.
“So what brings you here today in such a bad mood?” Liam takes his seat and eyes me for a while before I answer him.
“You already know the answer to that don’t you?” I snap back at him.
“I do but I still need you to tell me.” He says trying to calm me.
“I let my temper get the best of me again.” I sigh and put my bruised hands on the table.
“What happened this time?”
“Someone cracked my phone’s screen.” I tense up at the memory.
“And what did you do about it?”
“I hit he-... the wall. I hit the wall really really hard.”
“ Why did you feel the need to hit the wall Harry?” Liam’s questions were starting to annoy me.
“ Because I was pissed! I already told you that.”
“Look Harry I want to help you and you obviously want my help too seeing as though you keep coming to my office, but I refuse to work with you if you are going to be unreasonable.”
“Sorry Liam.” I sigh. “I do want your help. I really do.” I feel tears brim my eyes but I rub them to look like I had something in them.
“Alright. Now why were you so upset that you had to punch a wall really really hard?”
“Because my phone is ruined now.”
“But for most people that would be a thing that they would just get fixed and see it as no big deal. So why for you is this phone being broken such a big deal?”
“Do you want the truth Liam?” He just nodded at my question. “I have no idea.”
