Jungkook lay on his bed, his face buried in his hands as regret washed over him. It had been two days since he sent Y/n to Lara's house, and he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of remorse.

ONE DAY BEFORE

Jungkook prepared himself for the long-awaited moment of picking up Y/n. The previous night had been difficult for him, as he had chosen to sleep throughout the day in an attempt to distract himself from missing her. However, his restlessness had kept him awake during the twilight hours. Nevertheless, he held onto the belief that every hardship eventually leads to something sweet, and now he felt fully prepared to bring his wife back home.

Just as he reached for his car keys, his attention was diverted by the ringing of his phone. Setting the keys down, he eagerly grabbed his phone, his face lighting up at the sight of the caller ID.

"Seems like she's missing me just as much as I miss her," he thought, a bright smile gracing his lips as he answered the call. "I'm on my way, Y/n," he said enthusiastically, his voice filled with anticipation and love.

Jungkook's excitement and anticipation quickly turned into concern as he heard Y/n's low voice on the other side, "Jungkook I called you to inform you something". Sensing something was amiss, he couldn't help but feel a pang of confusion with her tone, and the urge to see her multiplied more.

"You can tell me after I get you," Jungkook interjected, his voice filled with a mixture of impatience and longing. He couldn't bear the thought of being apart from her any longer. However, Y/n insisted on sharing her news right away, her tone conveying a sense of urgency.

"Listen to me, I want to say that..." Y/n began, her words trailing off. But before she could finish, Jungkook interrupted, unable to contain his desire to see her. "You can tell me anything when we are back home," he pleaded, hoping to postpone the conversation until they were reunited.

However, his hopes were dashed as Y/n revealed her intentions. "Regarding that, Jungkook, I'm not planning to return home today," she confessed, her words hitting him like a blow. His smile faltered momentarily, his heart sinking at the thought of being separated from her for even longer. But he quickly gathered himself, forcing a smile back onto his face.

"You're kidding, right? I know you miss me. You're just messing with me, Y/n," he said, attempting to brush off her words as a playful tease. Deep down, though, his concern lingered, and he couldn't help but issue a half-hearted warning. "But, Y/n, I'm serious. If you ever play like this, I'm sure to have consequences in store for you," he added, hoping to bring a touch of lightheartedness back into their conversation.

"But I'm really hoping to stay here with her for three days at least" Jungkook's excitement turned into shock and disbelief as Y/n's words sank in. She was serious about wanting to stay at her friend's place for three days. He couldn't comprehend how she could choose to spend her time away from him, especially when he was eagerly waiting to be reunited with her.

"I don't know what to say, and I'm coming there to pick you up" Jungkook replied, his voice filled with a mix of frustration and confusion. Determined to bring her back home, he grabbed his car keys and made his way towards the main door. However, his footsteps halted as he heard Y/n's pleading voice on the other end of the line.

"Jungkook, please give me this one-time permission," Y/n pleaded, her voice filled with a mix of longing and desperation. "It's nice hanging out with her, and I really love to spend more time with her... Please, this is my request... please. And you were right to bring me a friend like Lara."

Jungkook's mind wavered for a moment as he imagined Y/n's pouty lips and pleading eyes. He could feel his resolve weakening, torn between his desire to have her by his side and her heartfelt plea. Yet, deep down, he couldn't ignore the pang of hurt and disappointment that lingered within him.
