The day Janus got his mark

Janus rubbed his eyes tiredly. Last night a couple had come in looking for a kid. Meaning he stayed up all night. The other kids slept because they weren't like him. Being the oldest means he shows the couple around. Then after that he has to clean any messes that the littler kids made during that visit. He sighed, getting up. It was his birthday and he wanted to see what his mark was. His parents had said he wasn't going to get one seeming as they both hadn't. But he knew he was going to. So he went into the bathroom down the hall. He of course had other clothes with him so he could change. He entered the room, locking himself into one of the stall like rooms. He removed his shirt first. He found two full names on both wrists. He smiled widely. The names were Logan Açaí Berry, and Remus King Prince. He almost squealed in excitement. He normally seemed closed off and unhappy, but once you knew him he was quite bubbly. He looked on his shoulders, finding another one. His jaw dropped. He was happy with two, but three? Three people who would love him? Or at like him? He read the name Patton Atlas Love. He quickly finished undressing. He ended up finding another, this one on his ankle. Virgil Chris Black. Virgil!? His best friend? He was so happy. He finished dressing and stepped out of the stall. He went to the sink, fixing his hair. He wished he didn't have to use a mirror to do so because it showed his scars made by his father. He avoided looking at his face. Only focusing on his hair. He quickly stepped away from the mirror and left the room. He went back to his room grabbing his phone. Being older had its perks. He grabbed his leather jacket, along with a black scarf Virgil had made for him. He quickly texted Virgil.

I got my mark! I have to talk to you about it when we get to school!

He waited a little for a reply.

Nothing bad right? Also she/hers today

Of course, nothing bad I promise I'll ttyl!

Janus put away his phone, grabbing his bag and rushing out of the orphanage.

He arrived at the school pretty fast. Seeming as it was relatively close by. He waited by the door hoping Virgil would come soon. He soon saw a black blob near the road. He smiled widely, running over to Virgil. He quickly engulfed her in a hug. He heard her laugh. The laugh was more or less just blowing air out her nose but nonetheless a laugh.

'What's up?' She asked laughing still. Janus took her hand, running to a bench nearby.

"Don't be weirded out okay?" Virgil nodded then looked at Janus. She gasped.

'Your soulmate is Roman Prince?' He signed astonished. Janus looked at her.

"What? Where's that?" Virgil tapped her lower jaw. Janus quickly pulled out his phone, fumbling around to the camera button. He turned on front view and sure enough, the name Roman Veil Prince, was written on his lower jaw. He shook it off however.

"That's what I wanted to talk about!" He shook his head, hitting his head lightly. "No, that's not, what I wanted to talk about, at least that one." He said slowly. He had a tendency to lie without meaning to. He looked to Virgil, who had a comforting smile on her face. She nodded in understanding. Janus took a deep breath before rolling up his sleeves. There he had two more marks. The names of Logan and Remus. Both in cursive. Well, they were all in cursive but that wasn't the point. Virgil's eyes looked similar to saucers. Roman and Remus both went to the rival school across town. Roman, one of the most popular. And Remus, one of the most popular for all the wrong reasons.

"Hold on there's two more" Janus said, searching his friends face for a bad reaction. He pushed down his sleeve at the top of his shoulder. There lied the name of Patton. Virgil nodded slowly.

'Where's the last one?' she signed. Janus took a shaky breath, debating wether or not to show Virgil. He decided not to, he didn't want to ruin their friendship.

"That was the last one" sometimes his lying came in handy. Virgil nodded.

'Well, I know that Patton and Logan go here' she said. Janus nodded. He knew that as well. He was scared to tell them though. 'When are you going to tell them?' She asked. He shook his head.

"I d-don't know" when he stutters it normally meant he was forcing himself to not lie. It wasn't always there, just sometimes. She hummed in thought.

'We'll tell them when you ready, or they'll find you' she said with a slight grin. I gave a shy smile back. We both turned back to the school, setting off. I hummed a small tune,  I don't know where I heard it from though. Virgil's face seemed to have panic, before she shook her head, her face retiring to the normal cold and calm look. I don't want to lose our friendship, maybe I just won't tell her...
