FP stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom fixing his hair, slicking it back nicely. Jellybean looked at him on her way to her room. "Daddy, why are you putting that stuff in your hair?"

"So he can impress a certain someone," Jughead wiggled his eyebrows. He leaned against the doorframe. FP gave him a look. "What? Tell me it's not true," He chuckled.

"I don't know what you're talking about," FP affirmed.

"Do you think the news lady is pretty?" Jellybean asked.

"I think you're pretty," He booped her nose. He completely dodged the question.

"I know that, silly." Jellybean giggled. "But what about her?"

"Yeah, dad." Jughead joined in. He was just as curious. "What about her?"

"I'm not saying anything," He put his hands up. He was fighting the smile from perking up on his face.

"Let's just say that I don't think that dad is bothered by the potential cooties," Jughead told his little sister.

"I heard that," FP shook his head. Jellybean giggled and ran to her room.

Jughead looked at their father. "But in all seriousness do you like her?"

"I'm just going to an interview..."

"Then why has the tv always been on the news channel?"

"I'm the sheriff. I have to be informed."

"Mhmm, that's why."

"Oh shut up," FP slid the beanie down his face and walked past him. "Take care of your little sister for me."

"Good luck on your date."

"It's work, boy." FP didn't want to admit that it was a date to him. He grabbed his keys and jacket then walked out the door.

Alice was punctual so she arrived right at noon like she said she would. "My, my, looks like he's sheriff for the day."

"Very funny," FP shook his head fondly.

Alice set her purse down on his desk and sat across from him. Alice chuckled. "How's that little sunshine of yours doing?"

"She's doing well. She'll be bummed if she sees me on tv without her though," FP smiled. "But I told her she wouldn't have to worry about that."

"I could never do that to the sweet little thing," Alice scrunched her nose as she smiled too.

"Yeah," FP said. There was a sweet moment of silence between them as they simply looked at each other. He cleared his throat. "So about this Jingle Jangle," FP remembered the purpose of her interview. "I have a potential location for where their production could be taking place. If I'm correct then I just need to gather up valid evidence. Something that holds up in court."

"Where are you planning to look around?"

"It's deep in the southside."

"Okay, like where?"

"That's for me to know and you to wonder."

"Nuh uh, we're not doing this again."

"Doing what?" FP acted oblivious.

"You not telling me anything," Alice crossed her arms."

"Anything," FP shrugged.

"You're such an idiot."

"Alice," FP leaned in with his elbows on the desk. "I don't want you getting tangled into this mess. It's dangerous."

"I already told you that I will be doing anything for this report. I don't care what it takes."
