The music abruptly stopped as you took your seat near the window. Class was supposed to start as soon as the teacher came in, so everyone around you was chatting and discussing what they did over the long weekend. You sat patiently, waiting for Wanda.

When she arrived, you heard her first.
She laughed sweetly, immediately filling the room with her good mood. It was amazing how she could do that. Some people looked towards her, making sure it wasn't the teacher, others just ignored her completely. All together though- well in at least your eyes- the room seemed brighter.

You looked up to see her holding hands with another classmate of yours. You let out a breath. Simon. He was a total douche. Over the long weekend, you almost forgot that she got a boyfriend. Almost.

Her eyes fell on you at the desk by yourself. She pursed her lips as Simon moved forward and lead the way towards you. "You're going to have to move–"

"Baby, I can handle this." Wanda smiled, tapping Simon on the chest softly. She looked to you apologetically, "sorry Y/N–"

You stood up before she could finish, "don't worry about it." You sighed, collecting your things and moving across the classroom, "not like you can focus on anything else anyway."

"Pietro, she's being ridiculous!" You exclaimed, holding the phone tighter to your ear, "she made me move from our spot and sit by myself because of her new boy toy. I had to partner with freaking Chloe for gods sake!"

Pietro let out a frustrated breath, "she's the same at home too... not herself, obviously. I need to talk to her."

"Yes." You clipped, "you do. I can't handle her being like this. She is completely fine by herself, but as soon as Simon is in the room she does everything she can to make herself superior to everyone."

"I know..."

"Well why haven't you talked to her yet!" You groaned, throwing yourself back onto your bed. Pietro didn't reply straight away.

"This has really upset you, hasn't it?" He asked softly.

"Obviously." You mumbled, looking across the room to see yourself in the reflection of the mirror. You were laying with your legs leaning up on the footboard of the bed, one hand holding the phone- the other resting on your stomach. You looked sad. Sunken, even. You tore your eyes away from the mirror.

"Well why don't we go out for some food? We can discuss a plan to fix my sister– your best friend?" Pietro suggested. From the tone in his voice you could tell he was smirking. You nodded before realising that he couldn't see you.

"Y-yeah, that would be nice."

"Good. I'll pick you up in 10." Pietro hung up the phone, staring down his bedroom door.
Time to go.
