Avery finished loading up the golf cart cooler with drinks and she was about to lift it onto the truck when Ian called out behind her to stop her.

"You know, I can do that right?" She asked as he lifted the cooler onto the cart.

"Yeah, but so can I," he nodded before facing her. "Besides, it makes me feel manly,"

"Manly," Avery laughed and Ian nodded. "Well, Mr. Manly, you wanna drive too? I hear women are bad at it."

"Nah, you drive, you're a good driver," he complimented as they got on and Avery started the cart.

"If you were Amy, I'd drive. She is a terrible driver, but not because she's a woman, but because she sucks." He shrugged and Avery laughed.

"I'm gonna tell her you're making fun of her,"

"I'd like to see you try," Ian grinned.

Avery pulled up to the first hole before shaking her head at Ian then turning to smile at the players.

"Gentlemen, can I get you something to drink?" She asked as Ian walked over to chat with the club members.

They continued with their routine for six more holes before Avery was looking at two people she was never expecting to see on a golf course.

"Tim?" She got out of the cart and Timothy looked up at her in surprise. She glanced at Timothy's guest before frowning in confusion.

The same guy that was at her graduation was there. But Avery couldn't remember his name. She knew it started with a P, but she couldn't remember the letters that followed.

"Avery!" Tim walked towards her and hugged her tight.

"Hi, I'm Ian Clark, the owner," Ian held his hand out for Timothy to shake.

"Pleasure to meet you," Timothy smiled and Patrick stepped forward.

"Patrick Bates," Patrick introduced and Avery smiled.

Patrick! Avery thought with a smile. She had thought his name was Peter.

"Patrick, good to see you again," Avery said and he nodded.

"Likewise,"

"Patrick is here on a business trip and I thought I'd get him out of the office for a while." Timothy explained.

"And you voted on golfing?" Avery grimaced. "You're at least an hour away from this club."

"True, But this was the closest golf course."

"Yeah, but golfing?" Avery asked again before turning to Patrick. "Do you like golfing or did you just let him drag you here like he did to a random graduation?"

"I enjoy golfing," Patrick smiled.

"See, I think you're lying like you did at my graduation." Avery shook her head before lowering her voice to a stage whisper. "It's okay, I'll help you escape. Just hop onto the golf cart and we'll be outa here before Tim and my boss notice."

"You're gonna need to drive pretty fast then," Patrick replied and Avery gave him a smile.

"Can I get you two something to drink?"

"Well just have two Corona's, we're gonna come in for dinner soon," Timothy answered.

"Oh, that's great. If you dine in, you might get seated in my area," Avery nodded as she prepped the beers for the men.
