Nami watched her phone ring and she grimaced at the caller ID before letting ring through voicemail.

Kyle Petters; a boy she had dinner with two weeks ago. Dinner was long and boring and nothing that happened after dinner was impressive enough for her to ask for a second date.

She's in no mood for boy drama. What she's in the mood for is for more parents to leave their children to her care while they go to the gym because at this rate, this daycare will be closed within the month.

It's time to find a new job.

The door to the daycare swung open and she perked up at the sound. But her face fell at the sight of Kyle.

"Kyle."

"Nami," he smiled, "I called you."

"I'm not allowed to be on my phone at work." She frowned. "What are you doing here?"

Kyle is usually harmless, but he has a tendency of being precistant with his begging. To which Nami loses her cool and lashes out.

"I wanted to take you up on that second date." He smiled and she fought to roll her eyes.

"I don't remember asking for a second date." Nami smiled politely.

"You didn't say the words but you didn't have to." Kyle smirked.

"You should stop while you're ahead." Nami shook her head.

The front door opened again and Avery walked in with her eyes fixated on her phone.

Her hands were covered with clay and that made Nami smile.

Whenever Avery does any ceramics work, she gets irritated because it's the only form of art she dislikes.

"Nami, I need the car keys." Avery finally looked up from her phone at her friend. She glanced at the tall brunet in front of her before a scowl appeared on her face.

"You again?" She scoffed before pointing to the door. "Kevin, get the hell out of here, she doesn't like you."

"My name is Kyle."

"And I don't care, Nami doesn't like you. If she did she would've called you back." Avery explained with an eye roll. "Or at the very least, she would've answered one of your thousands of texts."

Kyle looked away from the hotheaded blonde before looking at the girl he's been infatuated for the last two weeks.

"Sorry, Kyle." Nami pouted and he scoffed.

"Sorry? You could've just told me you didn't like me, then I wouldn't have wasted gas." He rolled his eyes and Avery laughed quietly.

"She ignored your text, so you call. Then she ignores your calls and you stalk her and found out where she worked and you're the one that's mad?" She asked with an eye roll.
