~chapter 20~
"Are you joking with me?" I ask them, taking a step back.
Ashton shakes his head as I continue to take steps back.
"I'm not an angel, you're lying to me." I pointed at Calum.
He shook his head and smiled.
"Knock it off, I don't believe you." I chuckled at their stupidity, angels aren't real, and if they were, I certainly wouldn't be one.
"Viol-" Ashton took a step closer.
"No, I don't want to hear it." I stomped my foot, "now put your shirt back on."
I gestured toward the shirt in his hands.
"Violet, you've got to believe us." Calum pleaded.
I turned and started to walk away from them.
"VIOLET!" I heard Ashton shout as I continued to stroll down the path.
"What?" I turned and faced them.
"You shouldn't leave us. You can't go home, it's not safe." Ashton explained.
"Home is safer than being with you." I spat.
I turned around and started jogging.
"Violet!" I heard the faint shouts of the two boys as I kept jogging.
I came to a halt as I noticed a gas station ( a/n we call them petrol stations in the UK, idk. ) with a big glowing sign and decided I needed to have a pit stop.
I pushed open the door which rung when I came in. I smiled.
I picked up a bottle of Sprite and strolled up to the bearded teenage boy behind the counter.
"Hi, how are you?" I asked as I passed him the items.
"Good thanks, what're you doing in downtown?" He asked smiling as me.
If I didn't have a little thing for Luke, I would say he was attractive.
Wait, I don't have a thing for Luke.
At least I don't think so.
I shook my head, "Um... I left my friends in the park to get some stuff."
"Well, be careful please. It's not nice out at this time of night." He smiled and handed me my items.
I passed over a £5 note.
"I'm Zayn by the way." He added quickly before I left the shop.
"Violet." I said as I pushed the door.
I hadn't even noticed it had gone dark. How long was I in that shop for?
I walked down the pavement towards a small bookshop where I could hopefully sit down and forget about what Ashton and Calum were saying.
As soon as I opened the door the rain started.
Wow, that was lucky.
"Hello." I must've jumped up in the air quite high as a small, old lady giggled at my reaction.
"Um.. Hi," I was still a little startled, "do you know what time it is?"
"7:30pm. Why do you ask?"
7:30. But, I probably left Ashton and Calum 30 minutes ago and it was only early.
"But-but-" I was so confused.
"Oh no. You're new here, aren't you?"
I nodded. What was that supposed to mean?
"Take a seat." I took a seat on the nearest sofa ( a/n idk what you call them but you might call it a couch :-/)
"Darling, you don't belong here, go home."
"But I don't understand-"
"Just go." The old lady's voice had deepened and her eyes had gone dark.
"Um...ok."
I pushed open the door and stumbled over my own shoelace.
I grumbled as my hair was now soaking and my shoes were un-done.
And that's when I started crying.
"Violet?" I heard a voice ask as a car pulled up beside me.
~~~~~~~~
OMG my dad's listening to Jackson 5
Um... Ok?
Don't worry, this chapter is meant to be confusing bc it kindof represents her thoughts.
Idk. (I keep saying that ahhaha)
Okay, now I'm laughing at my own jokes..
