I HAVE SO MUCH TO WRITE I can't proof read, sorry! Enjoy, and don't be afraid to ask questions<3

edit, 7-4-19: Hi I love this chapter. I'm highkey so proud of my brain and the amazing plot I created. Like idec if you think I sound conceited; I came up with some brilliant plot points in this book.

Lucas.

I let out a loud laugh, unable to hold it in. Mike threw his hands up in the air, his face contorted.

"Why am I always getting picked on?" he exclaimed, making everyone laugh more. Adrianna shrugged and looked over at him with a smirk.

"You're the easiest to pick on." She chuckled, and he just huffed while shaking his head.

"C'mon, man, you know it's true. You're actually obsessed with El." I laughed a bit, but he replied instantly, which cut me off.

"I'm not obsessed, I just love her," he rushed out, his words jumbled from how quick he said them. Everyone went silent, and I couldn't help but glance at Will. He wasn't paying attention to Mike, though, he was looking at Lauren. I sighed deeply.

"Can we talk about what happened? Who took you, and how'd you all manage to work your way out?" Mike changed the subject, and that's when I started to get really interested.

"We don't know who took us, I just remember being hit hard on the arm with something sharp. It sliced my skin, and I panicked, but then someone knocked me out. Next thing I know, I'm in that...place," Lauren mumbled out, and everyone looked over at Adrianna. She rolled her eyes, which seems to be a bad habit of hers.

"Max's dad took all of us, with help from Billy. They'd slice some part of our body, then knock us out and take us to the...place. It doesn't have a solid name, but apparently you all call it the Upside Down." She shook her head and looked annoyed. "Billy has a power that I can't quite pin down as one thing, his power has multiple uses. For one, as you all know, he can open and close the gates. Two, he can basically teleport into a house and leave it unscathed just like the...Demogorgon? What kind of dumbass name is that?" she asked, looking around at all of us. My eyes widened.

"Wait, the Demogorgon..." Mike started, then looked up at us with big eyes. "Guys, the Demogorgon! In the game, it had two heads. I know the monster isn't actually the Demogorgon, but everything has linked and made sense before this. It would make sense for the Demogorgon and Billy to be linked in some way," he rushed it all out, then shook his head. "Ok, it wouldn't make sense, but it makes more sense than anything else does. Billy is the other head."

The room was basically silent while the four of us worked things out in our heads. The girls all looked a little confused, but stayed silent while we thought and worked stuff out. Will was the first to speak up.

"Opens gates, teleports into houses without causing damage. Definitely linked to the Demogorgon, but..." he trailed off, his eyebrows furrowed in thought. "Wait, in our campaign! The one that happened the month before I was taken. The Demogorgon showed up for the first time in our campaigns. The two heads had very different personalities, allowing it to strike twice. The first time didn't work, but the second one did. Maybe that plays in." He was onto something, I could tell by how Dustin's face lit up.

"Will, that's it! The right head, Hethradiah, failed and was defeated. Aameul, the left head, succeeded. The Demogorgon failed at killing and El defeated him. Billy, on the other hand, hasn't had a full chance to attack. It's a long shot, but it makes sense!" he was basically yelling, and I was basically vibrating with all the excitement and nerves passing through my body.

"You guys are nerds. Smart nerds, you aren't wrong. Basically everything there is correct," Adrianna sounded surprised, looking around at us.

"So this isn't the end?" I asked slowly, and she frowned. The first time I've seen her frown.

"Not even close," she mumbled, and that's when Nancy spoke up.

"You mean stealing nine girls and almost keeping them trapped in a weird dimension wasn't his attack?" she said slightly sarcastically, pulling the sleeves of her new sweater down further.

"How'd you even pull this off?" I couldn't help but ask, and she looked up at me with hesitant eyes.

"Well, I went on the date with Billy as planned. He took me to his house and things didn't go as planned. He knocked me out and put me in a cell, and I..." She trailed off, looking over at Mike. "El was there. She was so happy to see me, a-and I just felt so bad. I wanted to get her out, but I couldn't. And...Max was there, too."

Oh shit, here it comes.

"Max what?" Dustin and Mike yelled simultaneously, making a few people jump. Nancy took in a deep breath.

"Yes, she was locked in a cell in her own basement. My guess is that she has been since she went missing," she spoke quietly, looking at them hesitantly.

"Yeah, that's correct." Adrianna nodded, examining her nails nonchalantly. That wasn't smart.

"Why didn't you tell us? You obviously knew and could've told me!" Dustin yelled again, and I sighed deeply. Adrianna rolled her eyes dramatically, then dropped her arm and turned to look at him.

"Why didn't you ask? I'm not a freak like her, I can't read your mind," she said with a straight face, making my eyes widen significantly. I know my friends so well, it's Mike's turn to be mad. He hates that word.

"She's not a freak! No one is, don't call people that. Honestly, at least she isn't so unhappy with herself that she picks on others," he shot back, and I saw many people start to get visibly nervous. Can't he just keep his mouth shut?

"At least I didn't push someone away so much that they moved on, finding someone better and more attractive!" This is getting serious and I'm praying Mike doesn't reply—never mind.

"Do you think I wanted to? That hurt me, it really did!" he was still yelling, and I felt very awkward. Will actually left the room, and I wanted to follow. This is awful.

"You're the one who fucking caused it!" she screamed, her voice high pitched and angry. Then, thank the lord above, Hop showed up.

"What the hell is going on?" he yelled over her, setting the bags and cup holders down on a nearby desk. Mike huffed, spinning around and storming out of the room. I looked over at Adrianna, who smirked a bit and plopped back down in her seat. No one answered Hop, and he just let out an impatient sigh. "Let's just eat and get some sleep. Long day tomorrow."

We all nodded and he distributed food. I've never seen girls eat so much, if I'm being honest. Hop made Mike and Will come eat, and it was mostly quiet. Nancy finished explaining things, and we discussed plans for tomorrow.

After discussing, we all agreed that we had a bad feeling. Adrianna looked scared and nervous, but said nothing. Great.

Bad ending but the death is coming tonight! Also Mike just needs to shut up lol
