39-nightmares to forget

Jake's heart shattered at Y/N's plea, the depth of her pain etched into every fiber of her being. He couldn't bear to see her suffer, torn between the love they shared and the burden it had become. His eyes filled with tears, mirroring the vulnerability in Y/N's gaze.

"No," Jake whispered, his voice trembling with anguish. "I can't... I won't."

Y/N reached out, gently cupping Jake's face in her trembling hands. Her touch sent shivers down his spine, a bittersweet reminder of the tenderness they had shared. "Jake," she murmured, her voice filled with love and resignation. "I don't want to be the cause of your pain. If ending my life will bring you peace, I beg you to do it."

Jake's hands instinctively grasped Y/N's, their fingers entwining as he fought against the overwhelming emotions threatening to consume him. "No," he repeated, his voice stronger this time. "I refuse to let go of our love, even if it means enduring this pain."

Y/N's tears continued to fall, mingling with Jake's own. The weight of their situation bore down upon them, the struggle between love and sacrifice tearing at their hearts. In that moment, Jake made a silent vow to fight for their love, to find a way to break the curse that had ensnared them.

A resolute determination ignited within Jake's eyes as he leaned in, his lips hovering just centimeters from Y/N's. "Before I do anything, can I kiss you before I kill you? ," he murmured, his voice laced with a mix of longing and desperation.

Y/N's breath hitched at his words, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew the risks, and the consequences of such a choice, but she also understood the depth of their connection. Closing her eyes, she gently nodded, silently granting him permission.

Their lips met in a tender and bittersweet kiss, a collision of love and sorrow. In that single moment, time stood still, the world fading away as their souls intertwined. It was a kiss that encapsulated the magnitude of their love before his vision turned crimson and his body was painted with y/n's blood- he killed her, he had killed her.

Jake's eyes opened wide like two blazing beacons, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he realized it had all been a nightmare. The scenes of Y/N's lifeless body and the torment of his mind dissipated, replaced by the reality of the hospital room. Relief washed over him as he gazed at Y/N, still enveloped in his protective embrace, her breaths a testament to her continued existence.

Carefully, Jake untangled himself from the tubes and wires that connected Y/N to the monitoring equipment. He felt a pang of guilt for his subconscious fears, grateful that they were unfounded. The weight of the nightmare lingered, fueling his determination to ensure Y/N's safety and well-being.

As he sat on the edge of the hospital bed, Jake took a moment to compose himself, his hands trembling slightly. He couldn't bear to see Y/N in this state any longer. The sterile environment of the hospital only served as a stark reminder of their shared pain and the fragility of life.

"Y/N," Jake whispered, his voice filled with a mix of concern and tenderness. "I want to take you home."

Y/N stirred, slowly waking from her slumber. Her eyes fluttered open, finding solace in the familiar sight of Jake's face. "Home?" she questioned, her voice tinged with curiosity and fatigue.

Jake nodded, his expression is resolute. "Yes, home," he affirmed. "This place... it's suffocating. I want to take you back to where you'll feel safe and comfortable."

A small smile played on Y/N's lips as she nodded in agreement. She longed for the familiar comfort of her own space, a sanctuary away from the sterile hospital walls. "I would like that," she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude.

With gentle care, Jake helped Y/N sit up, his touch mindful of her injuries. Sunghoon, who had been present in the room throughout their ordeal, stepped forward with a hoodie in hand. "I brought this for you," he offered, his voice filled with warmth.

Y/N's eyes lit up with appreciation as she accepted the hoodie, its soft fabric providing a comforting shield against the chill of the hospital air. Jake, his gaze never leaving Y/N, took his time dressing her slowly and carefully. Every movement was deliberate, ensuring that her broken arm was protected from any unnecessary strain.

Once Y/N was dressed and ready, Jake stood by her side, his presence a reassuring anchor. Sunghoon, ever the considerate friend, offered to drive them both to Y/N's apartment, sensing their need for privacy and familiarity.

As they made their way out of the hospital, Jake kept a protective arm around Y/N, his eyes scanning their surroundings, ready to shield her from any potential harm. He felt a renewed sense of responsibility, a determination to take care of her every need.

In the car, as Sunghoon focused on the road ahead, Jake and Y/N shared a moment of quiet intimacy. Their fingers intertwined, a silent promise passing between them. Jake's eyes bore into Y/N's, his love and devotion shining brightly. "I'm here for you, Y/N," he murmured, his voice filled with sincerity. "I'll take care of you, every step of the way."

Y/N's heart swelled with love, the weight of Jake's words grounding her in their shared reality. She leaned her head against his shoulder, finding solace in his embrace. "I trust you, Jake," she replied, her voice filled with affection.

As they approached Y/N's apartment, the familiarity of the surroundings brought

a sense of calm and relief. Sunghoon parked the car, allowing Jake to assist Y/N out and guide her towards the entrance of the building. They climbed the stairs together, taking each step slowly to accommodate Y/N's injured arm.

Once inside the apartment, the familiarity and coziness of the space enveloped them. The scent of home lingered in the air, providing a sense of comfort amidst their tumultuous journey. Jake helped Y/N settle onto the couch, arranging pillows for support and ensuring her utmost comfort.

With a soft smile, Jake turned to Sunghoon. "Thank you, Sunghoon," he expressed, his gratitude evident in his voice. "For being there for us and for helping us get back home safely."

Sunghoon nodded, his own smile mirroring Jake's. "You don't have to thank me," he replied, his tone warm. "You both mean a lot to me, and I'll always be here to support you."

As Sunghoon bid them farewell, Jake closed the door behind him, allowing a sense of solitude to wash over them. He turned his attention back to Y/N, his heart filled with a renewed determination to fulfill his promise of taking care of her.

"you're comfortable here,?" Jake reassured her, his voice filled with tenderness. "Is there anything you need? Any pain medication or anything else? does your arm hurt?"

Y/N's eyes met Jake's, gratitude shining in their depths. "Just having you here is enough," she replied, her voice soft but filled with sincerity. "But if you could bring me a glass of water, that would be wonderful."

Jake nodded, a sense of purpose fueling his every step. He swiftly moved to the kitchen, filling a glass with cool water and returning to Y/N's side. He handed it to her with the utmost care, making sure she had a firm grip before he settled beside her.

As Y/N sipped the water, the silence between them was filled with a deep understanding before Jake broke the silence, "what were you doing in the hospital? were you sick?" Jake let out the unwanted question- which she didn't know how to answer.
