Neteyam

The buzzing and animal noises lowered compared to the night, and daylight peeped through the huts opening. Neytiri was up early, waking her children for breakfast. Neteyam had also been up around the time his mother woke, helping her wake everyone, though, she had already gotten almost everyone up. He approached the two oldest siblings, sprawled on top of each other like normal as they peacefully slept. He started with Kireyi, softly caressing her arm as he whispered, "Kireyi, it's time to get up," The girl mumbled as he continued the action, her eyes eventually opening.

She hadn't said anything, simply opening her eyes and crawling towards the boy. She clung her arms onto his left one, head against his shoulder. The girl seemed almost childlike, reaching for their parents after they wake, and he chuckled at her demeanor, "I still need to wake your brother Reyi...."

Kireyi responded in somewhat of a mumble, barely audible to the boy, but as she kicked her brother in the hip he was quickly up, groaning at the short pain, "Skxawng!"

Aonung immediately looked to Kireyi, knowing it was her, and the girl seemed slightly more awake as she hid behind Neteyam, "He is awake...."

"Who would've known," Aonung snapped back, Kireyi hadn't cared much, still clinging against Neteyam.

The boy tried to turn to the others, but Kireyi was unmoving, needing instruction to shift, "Turn so we can eat," He urged the girl and it took her a second before she followed through. The two now faced the others, all sleepy except Tuk and Rotxo.... and Aonung though he was cranky.

"Eat, take more food," His mother continued to add food to their wooden bowls, making sure they ate their fill, "You all will help me train the four alright?"

She looked to her children, and Neteyam filled with excitement at the thought, he was happy to get to teach them about his home, "How?" Lo'ak asked.

"I will give the initial idea, you all will teach them, for certain things I will still be near to watch and make sure they learn alright," She proceeded to add more food to their bowls.

"So.... how you taught dad?" Lo'ak laughed, and Spider joined in, the two continued to when their mother softly smiled.

"Sure, but I did not baby your father, that is why he learned so quickly," Neteyam and Kiri chuckled now seeing how their siblings reacted.

"Huh? But he said you were a good teacher...."

"Maybe when he was on the verge of life or death twenty-four seven. You'd learn fast too," Neteyam pointed out, him and Kiri had heard many stories from their parents, sometimes more interested than Lo'ak and Spider.

"Oh right...." Lo'ak scratched his head in embarrassment, forgetting that detail.

"You all will not.... do that- right?" Tsireya's tail dropped some at the thought, and the Sullys couldn't help but chuckle.

"No don't worry, we do need to teach you all quickly though as there's only three months," Neteyam's mother eased the girl, and it had seemed to help.

Kireyi had fully woken up, but her tail was close to the boys back, right arm still latched around his left as she ate. He had learned the girl was silent after she woke, not speaking until spoken to for the first hour or so. It had become a pattern he noticed after a few days. Everyone finished eating, and it was now lesson time.

"We will start with our Direhorses, it is simple enough for you all while I settle a few more things today."

Tuk who was in her brother's arms began to squirm, "Do I get to too mom? Do I?"
