Lie For You (Jade)

"Hey Y/N, where's Jade?" your best friend Jayden asked as you walked over to the table where your friends were sitting.

"Yeah, I thought you said she was coming. We miss her," your friend Alexis said with a pout, making everyone laugh.

"She got pulled into a rehearsal," you said, causing your friends to send understanding smiles your way.

As much as you wanted to enjoy your time with your friends, the thought of Jade wouldn't leave your head. She was all you could think about but you weren't sure if you could say the same for her anymore.

She slipped into bed as quietly as she could, trying not to wake you, though you've been up waiting for her. You turned to face her, and she flashed you a bright smile.

"Sorry I woke you," she apologized with that same smile she's given you almost every night.

"It's ok," you said with a small smile. Jade leaned in a gave you a short but sweet kiss, yet it didn't cause sparks like it used to. There haven't been sparks in a while.

But you rolled over and snuggled into Jade anyway. Because some part of you still did, and always would, love Jade. It was all you knew how to do.
