"I will snap your head off!" an angry voice echoed in the huge entrance as its petite owner rushed in. He moved towards the reception and asked to see the CEO.

"I am so sorry, but you can't see Mr. Hu without an appointment," the receptionist declared politely and Ming Lei kicked a rumpus. Helpless, the receptionist clicked the red button under her table and two security guys ran to the scene.

"LET ME GO!" Ming Lei struggled against the huge guards, his short legs barely touching the floor.

"He is with me," a new voice was heard and the receptionist signalled the guards to let the small man go reluctantly.

"Who-" Ming Lei started angrily, but the tall young man grabbed his arm and dragged him to a corner, away from the shocked audience.

"Jing Yong?" Ming Lei called the younger with recognition when his mind was back to his head.

"How do you know me?" Jing Yong asked with astonishment as he wasn't a celebrity yet.

Ming Lei dried the sweat off his forehead with his coat sleeve and smiled, "Yu Hua tells me about you." Though he never told me you are more handsome in real life.

"You know Yu ge?!" Jing Yong exclaimed blithely and grabbed the small man's hand to shake, "nice to meet you, ge..."

"Ming Lei," the older one said with a smile. This young man was too adorable with those doe eyes.

Jing Yong nodded, "how do you know Yu ge?"

"I am his best friend," Ming Yong declared proudly. Okay, this Jing Yong guy could be super cute and nice, but he had no intention to share his throne with him in Yu Hua's heart. HE was his best friend. Always.

"Nice!" Apparently, Jing Yong didn't mind the fact. Then he squinted his eyes with confusion and asked, "what are you doing here though? Yu ge is on the set, didn't you know?"

"Of course I know!" Ming Lei said defensively, and added "I am here for the evil CEO."

"You mean Mr. Hu?" the younger one pressed his hand over his mouth as if the CEO could appear in front of them just by calling his name loudly.

Ming Lei nodded firmly, "I will kill him with my bare hands!"

Though the statement was pretty serious, Jing Yong couldn't help but chuckle as the man in front of him looked more like a chick than a fighter. He was almost half of Jing Yong's size and he didn't seem more than sixty kilo. As if it wasn't enough, Ming Lei was wearing a yellow pullover, making it hard for Jing Yong not to burst into laughter.

"Why are you laughing?" Ming Lei asked, offended, "don't you believe that I am capable of killing that bastard?"

"No No, chi-ge," the younger one shook his hands in denial, "I was just thinking maybe it is better not to resort to violence," he lied blatantly. Come on, one slap from Hu Jing Yao and the chick would die on the spot. Nope. Jing Yong didn't want this cute chick to die this soon.

"You talk like this because you don't know how miserable Yu Hua is," Ming Lei snorted, folding his arms over his chest defensively.

The smile on Jing Yong's face faded, "I know it," he said with a hint of guilt in his tone, "because of me he suffered."

Ming Lei was taken aback, hearing the younger's confession. Frowning, he asked what he meant because he knew Yu Hua would never tell him about the reason for the fight. His friend was too noble for his sake.

Jing Yong bit the corner of his plump lips and contemplated what to do. Should he share what he knew or not? He was still embarrassed about the gossip about him and the CEO, so he didn't want to vocalise it more than necessary.

"You don't have to tell me," Ming Lei smiled at the other man, "I don't care about what happened. All I care for is Yu Hua's happiness, so I will just kill the evil CEO."

That made the new actor chuckle. He would like to have a friend like the chick. Suddenly, he patted the shorter man's bird-nest hair, "you don't have to kill him, I was on my way to talk to him about Yu Hua, so leave it to me."

"Really?"

Jing Yong nodded reassuringly, "wait for me here, I will be quick," he said with a wink and walked to the elevator.

Although he portrayed himself as highly capable and confident, Jing Yong was actually pretty nervous. The CEO scared him without a specific reason and he was just a new baby. He couldn't predict what kind of reaction Mr. Hu would give him when he talked about the disgusting matter, but he had to do it for Yu Hua. The man didn't even think for himself before punching Dan Li and now, it was Jing Yong's time to save his Yu ge.

He straightened his shoulders and entered Mr. Hu's office after knocking twice.

"Actor Yong," Hu Jing Yao pointed at the seat before him, wondering why the new actor wanted to see him so badly.

With a nervous smile, Jing Yong sat on the leather sofa and looked at the CEO, who seemed pretty worn-out. Clearing his throat, he said "I want to talk about the recent incident, Mr. Hu."

Thinking Yu Hua sent him, Hu Jing Yao's glare hardened. Rubbing his chin, he said "I don't think you should mingle with actor Yu's problems."

Jing Yong shook his head vigorously, almost snapped his own neck in the process, "the problem was mine from the beginning and... yours."
