The place Castiel is in is pet friendly because they have pet therapy for the patients that work well with animals and feel calm when they are around. That's why you're able to bring Zeus in with you. You're able to bring Joanna since she isn't old enough to stay by herself. You and the brothers head inside the hospital looking for Castiel, peeking into rooms for your lost friend.

"We raced all the way here, and now I don't know what to say. I can't say I'm fired up to see what's left of the guy," Dean sighs.

"Do you think he remembers at all?" you wonder.

"That, and I'm guessing whatever kind of hell baggage he lifted off of Sam's plate. It's not gonna be pretty."

"Hey. Excuse me, gentlemen and lady, but it's way past visiting hours," a passing orderly says to you.

"It's okay, Abel. I've been expecting them." Abel nods and leaves you four alone. "Hello, boys and Y/N."

Zeus growls at Meg and stays close to your side, and you pet his head to silently praise him for his behavior. Meg rolls her eyes and leads you to Castiel's room where he's standing by the window looking out of it.

"Castiel."

"Hello, Dean. Sam. Y/N. Joanna."

Something is wrong here. He looks like himself, but at the same time, he doesn't. This isn't the Castiel you know.

"Something's not right," you mutter.

"Look at you, walking and talking. That's great, right?"

Castiel walks over to Dean and points a finger at him. You don't know what he is going to do, and by the look of Meg, she does.

"Pull my finger."

"What?"

"My finger--pull it."

Dean looks uncomfortable, but he does as he's told. He grabs Castiel's finger and tugs on it. Immediately, there is a crash inside the room--the lights blow out and the window and the light fixture shatters. You cover your daughter's head to protect her, but this doesn't seem to faze Castiel at all. All he does is laugh.

"See? Told you."

Meg turns on a portable lamp so that there is some kind of light in the room.

"Okay, just hang on, Cas. Let us catch up to you for a second," Dean says.

"So, you're saying you remember who you are and what you are, right?"

"Yes. Of course. Oh, outside in the garden, I followed a honeybee. I saw the route of flowers. It's all right there--the whole plan. There's nothing to add," he smiles, going off on a completely different tangent.

"You might want to add a little Thorazine," Sam says to the demon.

"Right? He's been like the naked guy at the rave ever since he woke up. Totally useless."

"Will you look at her? My caretaker. All of that thorny pain. So beautiful," Castiel grins at Meg.

"Are you kidding me?" you ask, disgusted by this.

"We've been over this. I don't like poetry. Put up or shut up," Meg groans.

"Okay. So, Cas, you said you woke up last night?" Sam asks, getting back on track.

"Yes. I heard a ping that pierced me, and, well, you wouldn't have heard it unless you were an angel at the time."

"That's when we also opened this."

Sam presents the stone tablet to Castiel who just nods in understanding.

"Oh. Of course. Now I understand."
