chapter 5

February 17th, 2021

OLIVIA'S P.O.V.

"Hey Fred, come inn."
We hugged each other before Josh peaked his head from the kitchen counter.
"Fred!"
"Hey buddy!"

Josh jumped on him, making Fred pick him up.

"Okay, mom would you quickly make popcorns so we can watch Geronimo?"
"Of coursee."
I smiled at them while walking into the kitchen.

"Here."
They were snuggled on the couch when I handed them popcorns. I also got for myself a little, before we started watching the marathon.

Josh already fell asleep, and Fred was on his way to fall asleep too.

I picked up Josh, slightly shaking Fred.

"Hm?"
"Fred, come to the room. It's more comfortable."

We walked to the rooms, Fred went in the room while I walked to the Josh's room.

"Mommy?"
He mumbled in his little soft voice.
"Good night baby boy."
"Noo, I wanna sleep with you."
"Okay."

I picked him up again, walking to my room. I laid him in the bed, before taking laying beside him.

"Good night baby boy."
"Night mommy."
I kissed his head. Both of us were on our sides, while he snuggled closer in my chest.

• February 23rd, 2021

"J, we need to go grocery shopping."
I said after checking everything and writing in my phone a list of things we need.
"Yay!"

I got him ready and then I got ready too.

"Do you need to pee again?"
"Nuh-uh."
"M'kay."

We got to the elevator, his hand in mine.

"Okay, get in."
I opened him doors and then buckled him up in his seat; before sitting in drivers seat.

I drove us to the grocery store while we listened to music.

"I'm sorry for this. Josh, you gotta calm down, I already told you about these stuff."
I told a guy that looked like security while Josh was jumping around him.

"Mommy, my legs hurt."
I picked him up and placed at that little part of shopping cart; continuing to put stuff in it.

"Mom, does this guy creeps you out?"
"Which one?"
"This security. He's been looking at us weird."
"Calm down, we are not in criminal movie."
I said, but then thought about it.

What if it's one of Jaden's guys? It must be it. Fuck, we're busted.

"Can we buy these?"
"Sure."

Once we finally got out of the store, we sat in the car and drove back to our apartment.

And I noticed car following us and then parking in front of our building; but no one came out.

So I dialed Josh's number.

"Hey Liv, what's up?"
"Jaden's guys are following me. Feel free to tell him that he at least could've told them to dress up as normal people because they scared Josh."
"Jesus. How do you know they are following you?"
"Josh started bothering that security while we were grocery shopping, and then the same guy watched us going through the store. Now they are in the car in front of building."
"Okay, you stay in your apartment, in case, you know."
"Okay. Can you just inform me when Jaden is going to come here?"
"I will."
"Okay, thank you."
"Okay, I gotta go now, I have a meeting."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye, kiss J for me."

After we hung up, I unpacked everything.

"J, what did we do with your choco-late?"
I said once I saw him eating them on the couch; everything was around his mouth.

He giggled, giving me innocent smile.

"Hehe, mommy you want some?"
"No, you eat. I was supposed to put it in fridge for little, so that wouldn't happen."
"What?"
"No! Don't touch couch with your hands."

I screamed, scaring him a little.
His hands are completely covered in chocolate.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. Come on, finish eating it and we can wash your hands and face."
He nodded, continuing to enjoy his KitKat.

"Did you wash your hands?"

He gave me one more innocent smile.

He'll be the death of me.

"Okay, time to wash you. You look like a little pig."

I picked him up while he giggled.

We walked in the bathroom and I put him on hit little steps so he wouldn't reach the sink.

"Hehe wook at me! I wook like a dark Santa Claus."
"Why are you talking like that? Say that l normally."
"L."
"Okay."

I washed his face and hands and then dried him.

"There you go. Don't eat any more snacks before dinner."

I patted his butt before he ran off somewhere.

I made dinner quickly and we ate.

Around 9 pm, we finished watching TV and I was going to shower Josh before he goes to sleep.

"Can I take a bath?"
"Okay then."

I filled up the bath and bubbles before setting him in.

We talked a little while he was in bath, playing around with ducks and bubbles.

I quickly took a photo of him giggling.

"Okay, twenty minutes passed, that's enough."
"Noohoo."

I let the water and bubbles go while he is still sitting in.

"Mommy?"
"Yeah?"
"How come I don't have daddy?"

My eyes widened. I hoped there will not be a question like this.

I sighed, washing him. with warm water.

"That's a topic for another time."
"M'kay."

I dressed him up in his pajama.

"Okay, now your teeth."

I watched him brush his teeth.

"Lemme check."

He put his tongue out while smiling, letting me see if he brushed his teeth good.

"Okay, now this."

I gave him a little pill type of thingy. It's for kids and their teeth.

"Okay, don't eat it. Just let it be there."
He nodded his head, but we both knew he won't listen. He always ends up eating them.

"Okay, do you need to use toilet?"
"I wanna poop."
"Then why don't you say it. C'mon."

I took off his clothes, setting him up on the toilet and waiting for him to finish his stuff.

"Okay, good night baby, sleep tight."
I kissed his cheek, checking blanket around him.

"Mommy, mommy!"
I hummed, turning around.
"C'mere!"
I walked back to his bed and he pulled me down to kiss my cheek, making me smile.

"Night mommy."
"Good night baby."

I half-closed his doors before walking to my room.

I showered and laid in the bed.

What's gonna happen when Jaden comes here?
