Whenever they would meet up James could tell Alex was lonely... the man hadn't had a solid or healthy relationship since he was 19 and he was now 22. He noticed how Alex would look longingly at happy couples and smiled weakly when their friends would tell him news about their relationships, like engagements or anniversaries.
He wanted to help Alex find someone who made him happy like James's girlfriend made him. He remembered recently when he was filming with a friend he'd mention a close mate who was single and in the YouTube community. So he decide to investigate that some more and see if the could maybe set them up.
Will Lenney:
James: Mate did you say you've got a mate whose single? And likes dudes...
Will: Yeah actually funnily enough I do He's been moping around since his ex broke up with him... Why'd you ask?
James: Well I've got a mate who is also single and moping around too... His names Alex and he's 22 he's also Bi
Will: I like your thinking... Well my mates called George he's also 22 and he thinks he's Bi but he definitely likes dudes so....
James: I say we set them up👀 This is the best idea I've ever had... So let's think about how we're going to do this...
Will: I think we just pick a nice location and tell them they have no choice...
James: Sounds like a plan

James: Fair enough mate I believe you Right I've found them a nice restaurant I'll send you details for George later And now we just hope they like each other
Will: Okay mate that's great This is a brilliant plan mate I'm sure they will like each other I think they'd be quite adorable
James: Let's just hope this finally stops them moping about :)
As promised James sent Will the details about the date, it was Saturday at 5pm in a rather fancy restaurant in Shoreditch called 'Wilder'. It was supposedly romantic but on the low-key side of romance as James realised it was the first time they'd ever meet.
