3rd Person's POV ~
(In Jungkook's room)
A sleeping boy lay in the crumpled sheets of his mattress, blissfully unaware.
When he was asleep, he lay as still as a brick. The only movement was the slight rise and fall of his chest. It was hard to imagine that this was the same boy that tore around from sun up to sun down, terrorizing his friends and enemies alike, putting spiders in his Jin's hair and salt in Jisoo's coffee.
In sleep he was angelic, his face as fresh as a dew drop, making gentle snuffling noises as he breathed. Chest rising and falling rhythmically, slow breathing, warm under duvet, rapid eye movement, dreaming, he remains stuck in the land of faraway imagination.
That was until-
Splash
"Ahwck-!" He chokes sputtering as the water crawls down his throat. He stammers and shouts in irritation, brushing a hand through his hair and violently rubbing the droplets off his sun kissed face. "What is wrong with you ?!"
"Rise and shine." Jin drawls sarcastically, leaning on the wall with an empty glass that was dripping against the carpet. The leak from the cup didn't bother him, though, seeing as he only seemed interested in scrutinizing his nails.
"Oh, how sweet." The drenched boy scowls, pushing his fluffy ink black sheets aside and grabbing the clothes he'd set for himself last night upon the nightstand.
He heads into the bathroom, cupping his hand under the shiny faucet and letting a decent amount of water fill up in his grasp. He puts the clothes on the counter, walking out and throwing it at Jin's would be astonished face before shutting the door and brushing his teeth.
The bristles poked obnoxiously against his gums as the tip of his tongue ran over his newly pearly whites. He strips of the shirt and boxers that he had slipped on before his head had hit his pillow some 8 hours ago.
He steps into the shower, his toes flinching as they touched the chilled ceramic floor. His mind was in shreds; His morning so far wasn't what he'd expected. He turns the dial, old and metallic, releasing thousands of lukewarm drops, darkening his unruly hair.
After several minutes pass by like seconds, his toes step off the ceramic, wrapping the towel around himself and pressing on his skin. The fabric absorbed the warm water right off him, and he lets it rest against his shoulders as he shoves on a pair of black jeans, and soon, a simple white shirt who's sleeves had barely inched past his elbows. His hair had retained some of the moisture and steam, the towel stealing all of it and leaving it healthy dry.
"Idiot." He growls, slapping Jimin's amused face with the towel. He snatches is satchel off the counter, slinging it over his shoulder and chucking his towel through the open doorway of his room.
"That's what you get for not waking up." Taehyung mutters heartlessly.
"What's up with him ?"
"He's busy agonizing over asking his girlfriend out to the dance."
"I swear, if you call her that one more time, I will rip you to shreds."
"You sure he's not on his man period or something ?" Lisa asks, getting a small smile out of the disgruntled boy.
"I'm not, Lisa, thanks for the concern." He says sarcastically.
"Wait, back up, there's a dance ?" Jungkook asks. Lisa nods while the others look unimpressed at his jibe.
"Yeah. He wants to ask Jennie, and he's ignored the only person in this dorm who has a girlfriend." Jin smirks.
"I have one too." Jimin frowns.
Jin's face goes from amused to horrified. He grabs Jungkook's wrist and his bag, pulling both of them away and shutting the door behind them. Their feet shuffle quickly against the staircase, ignoring the shouts of confusion behind them. As soon as they put a decent amount of distance between the dorms and themselves, he finally pops the question.
"What happened back there ?"
"He doesn't know Chaeyoung's upset with him." Jin explains, slightly out of breath.
"And why exactly is she upset with him ?"
"She thinks he doesn't want to ask her to the dance because he hasn't yet."
"I assumed they would automatically be going together. What, with them being in a relationship and all."
"Yeah, no kidding. I got pretty scared and asked Jisoo this morning."
"What did she say ?"
"She said no, just to get a kick out of my reaction." He grins.
"You two are made for each other. Each as weird as the other." Jungkook scoffs, shaking his head.
"Why don't you ask Lisa ?" Jin suggests. "You're both mental. Just imagine all the chaos that could happen." He claps gleefully.
"Yeah, I don't think I'll do that." He laughs though his friend's smile drops.
"Why not ?" A genuinely disappointed tone seeps through his voice.
"I don't want to ruin our friendship."
"Who asked you to ask her out in that way ? This is your chance to change that."
"Change what ?"
"Your relationship. Ask her out as a friend, then charm her into something more."
"Not sure if you noticed, but I'm not exactly a romantic guy."
"Of course I noticed. That's why I'm forcing you to do this."
"You can't make me do anything." The younger of the two says snootily.
"I can if I take your phone and text her."
"You already asked her ?!" He shouts.
"Relax. I didn't. Yet."
"What do you mean, 'yet' ?"
"It means I'll ask for you if you don't find your courage fast enough. I'm warning you, don't make me step in."
"Oh, come on. Leave my love life alone."
"Love life ?" Jin winks, ruffling the blushing boy's already messy hair.
"You know what I meant." He scowls, throwing Jin's hand away from his head.
"I'm not sure I do," The amused boy presses further.
The clock was several intervals away from the red scratch that marked the first shrieking bell of the day, making both boys groan; they were far too early. They heard teasing laughter behind them and turn around, their eyes meeting 2 other boys and 4 girls smirking at their messy figures.
"I just remembered." Jin pipes up, sneaking a sideways glance at the entranced guy beside him. "I wanted to go to the library."
"For what ?" Jisoo asks. "To find a book ?"
"No," He says sarcastically. "I wanted to eat it."
"Shut up." She grins, letting him tug her along.
"What are you guys doing ?" He hisses at the remaining group. They look at him in surprise. "I wanted all of you to come. I want some good recommendations."
"I'm pretty sure all books taste the same." Lisa pipes up, joining them anyway while Jungkook stands still.
"Lisa, could you keep Jungkook company ? He's a lonely little git." Jin winks at his friend, earning a growl combined with a look of surprise.
Regardless, Lisa nods, looking much happier as she goes to join the boy who'd been stunned still.
"Don't mess this up !" Jin shouts before leaving along with the small crowd of friends who'd started laughing upon something he'd whispered to them.
"Don't mess what up ?"
