Thank you guys! Reg and Sirius weren't friends in canon-- so this is not following canon exactly, but most of it will. Any requests? Sorry-- I don't write smut. Fluff, angst, breakups? I'm going to include "the prank" in seventh year-- I know it happened in fifth, but again, not exactly canonical. Happy reading <3
Remus picked up his cup, to drink a sip of water. He let out a whimper and dropped the cup, clutching his hand. The water spilled on his lap. "Remus, you okay?", James asked. "Yeah. A slip of my hand.", Remus gasped, tears welling in his eyes.
"You- you're with him?", she asked.
Sirius nodded. "What is this?", Vernon growled, "Some prank?".
"What?", Peter asked.
"Are you an idiot?", he asked, making Peter cower. "Don't speak to my friend like that.", James said, glaring at Vernon angrily.
"Are you friends with any normal people?", Vernon asked, waving a hand at Lily.
"My friends are good people.", Lily said, her voice getting louder.
"Sit down, everyone, let's calm down.", Mr. Evans said, trying to keep the peace.
"What do you mean by normal?", Sirius asked, looking at him contemplatively.
"Boys dating girls. Girls dating boys.", Vernon nodded, "You- you're not natural."
James jumped out of his seat angrily. "Sit down, Prongs, it's alright.", Remus sighed. Sirius just looked defeated. "Are you not upset?", James asked, shocked, looking at Dorcas and Marlene, and then turning to Sirius and Remus.
"Used to it.", Sirius said, giving a weak shrug. "Tuney, you're not going to say anything?", Lily asked, her voice trembling with anger. Petunia stared at Lily, and then looked down. "Freaks, all of you.", she spat. "Petunia Evans!", Mrs. Evans said angrily.
James focused on the glass in her hand. They had been working on wandless magic. He closed his eyes, muttering the spell. The glass shattered, making Petunia gasp.
Lily looked at James, trying not to let her lips quirk up in a smile. Vernon stared. "The glass- he said something, I saw.", he stuttered.
"Nonsense.", Sirius said, laughing.
"Mum, my friends and I are leaving. Thanks for inviting us, it was wonderful, no thanks to Tuney and Vernon.", Lily said curtly.
"I'm sorry, Lily, I'll talk to her.", Mrs. Evans said, wringing her hands worriedly.
They were in the living room, about to step into the fireplace. "Mum, it's not your fault. I'll see you soon.", Lily said, hugging both of her parents.
"It was lovely to meet the rest of you, I'm sorry about Petunia and Vernon.", Mr. Evans apologized.
"It's okay, Mr. Evans, really.", Sirius said politely.
James knew he didn't mean it, his usually bright eyes were dull. They stepped into the fireplace, ready to go back to Hogwarts.
"That was a disaster.", Lily said, putting her head in her hands, back in the Common Room.
"Remus what happened to your hand?", Peter asked sharply. There was a welt on Remus' hand. Remus winced. "The cups- they were silver.", he said, not looking at Lily.
"Let me see, Moons.", Sirius said, taking his hand. "Yeah that's bad.", Peter winced.
"I didn't know they were silver, I'm so sorry.", Lily groaned. "It's not your fault.", Remus said softly.
"I think your parents like me, Evans.", James said. "Yeah, I think they do too.", Lily smiled.
"That Anna is a piece of work.", Sirius said, shaking his head.
"She was all over you. I thought Moony was going to curse her out.", Peter laughed.
"I was not!", Remus protested, a blush creeping on his cheeks.
"He wouldn't. He's not a swearwolf.", James giggled.
Sirius burst out laughing, Peter joined in after a second. Remus and Lily looked at each other.
"Our boyfriends are idiots.", Lily shook her head.
"Nice one, James.", Sirius said, high fiving James.

"Professor? Have you seen Barty?", Regulus asked.
Professor Slughorn looked down at him, "He went home with his father for a few days, he'll be back.".
"Oh- thanks.", Regulus frowned. He had a sinking feeling in his stomach.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Barty Jr stared at his father. "Is that all?", he spat.
"Now. I know for a fact Regulus Black has the Dark Mark.", his father said calmly. "If you don't end this relationship, he's going to Azkaban.",
"Father, no-- you can't.", Barty said, his voice cracking. "Crucio!", Bartemius spat, making his son shake with silent sobs.
"Leave. Do what I say, or your precious Regulus will rot in Azkaban.", Bartemius laughed.
Barty watched his father leave the room. He laid there in a pool of his sweat and blood, panting. His father had hit him with his cane, three times, on his back. It stung as he got up.
He couldn't let Regulus spend life in Azkaban.
He needed to end this.

Remus walked into the Great Hall, seeing Sirius, Peter and James whispering. "What are we planning now?", he smirked.
"Remus, smart one, gorgeous boyfriend of mine.", Sirius sang, looking up at Remus. "Yes, Pads?", he sighed. "Can you brew a love potion for us?", Sirius asked quickly. "We can't get it right.", he frowned, bringing out his puppy dog eyes. "Sirius-- ugh, fine, I can't resist your puppy dog eyes.", Remus said, rolling his eyes, and smiling as Sirius kissed him on the cheek.
"Here's our plan. We're going to make everyone fall in love with Slughorn.", James said, his eyes sparkling.
Remus smiled. "Okay, I'm in.".
After two days, the potion was ready.
"Moony, you're a genius!", Peter cheered.
"I could kiss you right now!", James yelled. Sirius looked at him. "No.", he said sternly. "Mine."
Remus laughed. "Okay, here's the plan.", he said, launching into the scheme.
The four boys snuck into the kitchens, underneath the invisibility cloak, pouring the love potion into the breakfast bowls.
"Shhh, we need to be quiet so the house elves don't hear.", James shushed.
They snuck out, closing the door quietly.
"Until tomorrow, then.", Peter smiled.
The next morning, breakfast was being served. The students dug in, minus the four boys.
"Go.", Remus whispered, watching Slughorn, as the students began to eat. James pulled the invisibility cloak over him, running to Slughorn.
"Hey!", Slughorn yelled, as he was being pushed to the center of the Great Hall. Everyone turned to him, blinking.
"Sluggy!!"
"Marry me Professor!"
"I love you Slughorn!"
"He's mine!"
Yells surrounded the Great Hall, from all of the students. "I love you Slughorn!!", Lily shouted.
"I forgot to warn Evans-- she's going to kill me, isn't she?", James asked, paling.
"You're a dead man, Prongs.", Sirius laughed, his eyes twinkling.
Regulus walked over to the four boys, while everyone was distracted, shaking his head. "It was you, wasn't it?", he asked.
Sirius looked at him, smirking. "No, you Slytherin, it was not.".
"Shut up, Griffindork.", Regulus shot back, his lips quirking up at the corners.
"Mini- Sirius.", James nodded at Regulus. "Other Griffindorks.", Regulus nodded.
Regulus looked back at the Slytherin table. "Blood traitor.", Regulus said, sounding angry, but smiling at Sirius. "Mama's boy.", Sirius shot back, as Regulus walked back to the Slytherin table.
McGonagall was walking through the horde of students bombarding an overwhelmed Slughorn.
"Uh oh.", Remus whispered, tilting his head. "Boys. My office. NOW.'', McGonagall said, her voice ringing through the Hall.
The four boys walked through the halls, hanging their heads. "I think that went well.", Peter whispered. "Shh, she's going to hear.", James shushed, as they sat down in her office.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself?", McGonagall asked sternly. "Minnie, are you accusing us of what happened?", Sirius asked, bringing a hand to his chest.
"Yes, Sirius, I am.", McGonagall said, unimpressed. "It wasn't us!", Peter squeaked.
"Really, Mr. Pettigrew?", McGonagall asked, arching an eyebrow.
"He's not lying.", Remus spoke up. McGonagall looked at Remus incredulously.
"How do you define lying, Professor?", James asked.
"Not telling the truth, of course.", McGonagall said, fed up.
"I define it as reclining your body in a horizontal position.", Remus smirked, putting his feet up.
Sirius' jaw dropped open.
"Get out of my office before I give you detention.", McGonagall said, opening the door. The boys heard her laughing out loud as she closed the door.
"Moony!", Sirius said, shocked. Remus shrugged innocently. "You're a bad influence, Pads.", Remus said, kissing the top of his head.
James looked at them. "They're really happy together, aren't they?", he asked softly, nudging Peter. "Yeah. It's nice to see them like this.", Peter smiled.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"POTTER!!", a voice rang out, through the common room.
"You're in trouble.", Frank said, as he and the other Gryffindors left the Common Room. Sirius, Remus, and Peter remained.
"Hey, Evans.", James said, feigning confidence.
"Slughorn? Seriously?", Lily said, screwing up her face.
"I forgot to tell you.", James said sheepishly.
"You're gonna have to make it up to me.", Lily whispered.
"How about snogging? I'm good at that.", James smirked.
"I'm better.", Lily smiled. "We'll see about that.", James winked, leaning in to kiss her.
"What was the rule about snogging?", Peter asked, amused.
"Shut it, Wormtail.", James murmured.
Peter turned to Sirius, who was busy with Remus.
"Well.", Peter said to himself.
"Potter's not dead?", a first year asked, eyes wide.
"Lily's eating his face!", another one shouted.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Barty? What happened?", Regulus asked, gasping.
"Nothing. M'fine.", Barty said, lying. "I need to talk to you.", Barty said. Regulus looked at him. "This-- we're over.", Barty choked out.
Regulus stared at him. "What?", he asked, thinking he didn't hear him right.
"Do you need your ears cleaned out? We're over. Don't talk to me, freak.", Barty yelled, closing his eyes.
"Why?", Regulus asked quietly.
Barty didn't answer him. He kept his eyes closed, and when he opened them, Regulus was gone.

Sirius and Remus were alone in the dorm. Peter had tagged along with James and Lily.
Sirius had his head in Remus' lap, who was stroking his hair lovingly.
"I love you, Pads.", Remus said softly.
"I love you too, Moons.", Sirius said, a big smile on his face.
"Beanstalk?", Sirius asked, after a silence. Remus smirked, his eyes crinkling. "Is that my nickname?", he asked.
Sirius nodded. "I'm scared, Moons. What if-- what if something happens to us?", he asked, sounding small.
"Nothing'll happen, shortstop. We'll win this war, don't worry".", Remus said.
"But what if something does? I- I couldn't even imagine losing you, James, Peter, or Lily.", Sirius choked.
"I'll protect you, Pads, I always will.", Remus promised.
