Jackson ended up texting Taehyung back that all the German Shepherd puppies were already claimed. The only puppy that wasn't claimed was a one-month-old German Shepherd-Golden Retriever mixed puppy that no one wanted. He had sent pictures of the puppy to Taehyung who knew Jungkook would probably be interested in the puppy and he was correct. The mixed puppy was ready to be given away so they could go pick him up anytime Jackson was free so they all agreed on a Tuesday since Taehyung didn't have much to do on Tuesday, the kids would be at school, and Jackson only had to attend an interview. Taehyung agreed to drive Jungkook to Jackson's condo since there was no way Jungkook would/could go there himself.

Tuesday came around quite quickly.

As soon as Jungkook dropped his boys off at school, he went straight to Petsmart to buy stuff for the puppy like a bed, elevated food and water bowls, leashes, etc. He had even gone ahead and made vet appointments to get the pup's shots. He grabbed everything he needed before walking to the register and standing behind a woman and her two teacup poodles.

Jungkook planned to start with basic training like teaching the puppy how to sit, stay, and roll over. The pup would have to be six months to go into any formal training. Emotional support animals don't have to have any specialized training but Jungkook figured the dog would have to have some type of formal training besides the basic commands to be fit to be an ESA.

He could only hope that Hanbin would like the puppy.

---

"I'm sure he'll love it," Taehyung said as he followed Jungkook to his car, "I would get my kids a dog but I don't like dogs."

"What about cats?"

"I don't like cats either."

Jungkook scoffed and shook his head. "I'm starting to remember why I didn't really like you."

Taehyung smiled and chuckled. "I mean they're both okay but ugh no thank you."

Taehyung sat down in the driver's seat and drummed his fingers against the wheel as he got comfortable in Jungkook's car. They agreed to drive his car since he didn't want dog hair or the stench of "dog" in Taehyung's car. Taehyung would drive since he knew where Jackson lived. He adjusted the seat and looked around, frowning at the hot pink, fuzzy steering wheel cover which greatly contrasted the all-black interior of the car with the occasional red.

"Oh uh...my friend Jimin gave it to me and I don't know, it's comfortable," Jungkook said, laughing a bit, "you can take it off if it's weird to drive with it on."

Taehyung gripped the steering wheel before releasing it and then gripping it again. He shook his head, deciding that the hot pink cover would stay on before starting the engine. Jungkook's car had other questionable stuff as well like the giant unedible gummy bear chain hanging on the rearview mirror and the cup holder covers that were black but had pink and white bears on them. They were cute but unexpected as Taehyung didn't take Jungkook has a cutesy guy.

They drove without talking for a while with just the radio keeping the car from being silent. Jungkook was texting Jimin who was dying over the fact that Jungkook was about to meet Jackson Wang. Jungkook didn't realize how nervous he was about meeting yet another famous kpop idol. You'd think he's used to it now since he's comfortable around Taehyung and Seokjin and he's been to both of their companies. But now that Jimin is pressing the topic and basically fanboying despite knowing very little about Got7, Jungkook is suddenly nervous.

"You'll do all the talking, right?" Jungkook suddenly asked, looking up from his phone and at the blonde man.

"Of course, not."

"Oh come on, he's your friend."

"You're the one buying the dog from him."

Jungkook sighed. "So? You can do all the talking and I'll just get the dog."

"Look, if you're gonna hang around me more often then you have to get used to talking to famous people," Taehyung said, "plus, Jackson is nice so there's nothing to worry about. He's not like Seokjin."

"Seokjin is nice too..."

Taehyung groaned and shook his head. "That's because you don't know him, I've told you what he's done."

"So...why did you sign a contract with him?"

"Uhm," Taehyung laughed, "well, I wouldn't sign a contract with him if I knew he was going to dick it up months later."

Jungkook hummed, understanding what Taehyung was saying. So Seokjin had other intentions when agreeing on the partnership with Taehyung. What Jungkook didn't understand was why Taehyung didn't just hire a lawyer and take the older man to court to get out of the contract. Especially since Seokjin apparently stole stuff from him. He could've easily ruined Seokjin just by exposing him, but Jungkook didn't remember any drama between the two, surprisingly.

"How did none of this drama between you two become public?" Jungkook decided to ask.

"I don't enjoy making my personal matters public," Taehyung started, "it's annoying having people twist things and make up their own stories out of yours. So I chose to never talk about mine and Seokjin's uh...rocky friendship."

"I'd just assume that word would get around, you know? You've been partners for how long? Five years?"

"Look at you, knowing your stuff," the designer teased, "but yeah six years, our contract ends at seven. And yeah, things have leaked before but we've easily cleaned it up. I have nothing to hide as I'm the victim in this but I don't want Seokjin to fall under the spotlight because he can be a snake and he'll turn shit around and...yeah I'm not about to lose my shit over Seokjin's shit."

"That's understandable," Jungkook said while nodding, "how has Seokjin never been in a scandal?"

"I...have no idea," Taehyung laughed, "he has but they're minor, he manages to keep his reputation clean anyhow. If he keeps fooling around with Jung Hoseok, he might land himself in a big scandal with him and Yoongi and I'm honestly living for it, Seokjin needs a good slap in the face."

The younger male laughed and Taehyung just smiled. They fell back into a comfortable silence as the radio started to play a song by Sunmi. Taehyung lowly hummed to it, tapping his fingers against the wheel while Jungkook texted Jimin who had sent him several messages while they conversed about drama. Jungkook listened to Taehyung humming to the song before deciding to listen to the song, frowning as he tried to remember who sung it.

"You like Sunmi?" He asked.

"Love her," Taehyung answered, "she's the best. She wears a lot of my designs as well, especially for stage performances."

"I like Sunmi too, Chung-Ha, IU."

"I dated Chung-Ha," Taehyung decided to say.

"Well, that must have been an honour to date such a queen."

When they arrived at the condominium, they had to wait to be buzzed in by Jackson. Jungkook was sure to stand behind Taehyung in the elevator so the older man would be obligated to start the conversation and introduce him once they made it to Jackson's condo. They rode to the said idol's condo in comfortable silence and were welcomed by loud yipping and fuzzy brown and black balls as soon as the doors slid open.

"Awe oh my God, how can you hate these?" Jungkook cooed, crouching down and putting his hands out as the excited puppies attacked him with playful bites.

"They're all cute until they start pissing on your furniture," Taehyung said as he sidestepped the younger male and looked up at Jackson who was carrying the puppy that was going home with Jungkook. "Hey, Jackson."

Jungkook quickly stood up as the two older guys greeted each other. His eyes landed on the light honey-coloured puppy being held tightly in the idol's arms. The pup's snout was buried in the crook of Jackson's arm, his tail was tucked underneath his body, and his ears were bent downwards.

"He's a bit shy right now," Jackson said as he walked over to Jungkook, "he's a calm dog, as you know, I assume Taehyung told you everything."

Jungkook nodded as he placed his hand in front of the puppy's nose. He watched the honey-coloured animal lift his head up just enough to sniff Jungkook's hand before putting his head back down onto Jackson's arm. Jungkook took that as a welcome and rubbed the furry puppy's head, smiling at how soft and warm he was.

"So how do you two know each other again?" The blonde asked as he slowly handed Jungkook the puppy.

"He works for me," Taehyung answered.

"Oh, that sucks," Jackson joked, looking up at Jungkook, "I've seen you on Seokjin's company website."

"Y-Yeah, that was just...experimental stuff," Jungkook said awkwardly. He looked down at the dog in his arms, raising a hand and dragging his hand down the pup's back.

"You're good at it," the older man complimented, referring to the modelling. Jungkook thanked him but his attention stayed on the puppy who started licking his arm, his ears rising just a bit as he started to get comfortable in Jungkook's arms.

"How did you manage to befriend Taehyung?" Jackson asked with a bit of amusement in his tone, "hell, he's not even this nice to his assistant. What's her name? Sujin?"

Jungkook shrugged, glancing at Taehyung as he expected the said man to answer. Taehyung became more interested in Jackson's robe which was draped across one of his white sofas. He pulled the collar back and looked at the tag, nodding in approval as he checked the material and the designs on it. Jungkook sighed, mentally cursing that the blonde was making him talk despite the conversation they had in the car.

"Uh...I don't know we just became friends over a few months," Jungkook decided to say, "though sometimes he can be an asshole."

Taehyung scoffed, dropping the robe and looking at the younger male. "That's a—"

"I agree, I'm just surprised he went out of his way to text me for you and drive you all the way here just for a dog even though he hates dogs — you know he hasn't texted me since Got7's last comeback."

"Really? Well, I—"

"Because I haven't had a reason to," Taehyung groaned.

Jackson laughed. "And Tae, you're not one to go out of your way for people so I guess Jungkook is im—"

Taehyung cut the idol off by shooting him an incredulous glare. "We've got to go now, I just got a text from Saejun."

He nodded towards the elevator and Jungkook quickly bowed and told Jackson goodbye before making his way towards the elevator. Jackson did the same to the two men, nudging the puppies away so they wouldn't run into the elevator with them. As the doors closed, Taehyung was quick to hold his middle finger up at Jackson who was giving the designer and Jungkook a knowing look. The action went unnoticed by Jungkook.

---

Hanbin stared at Jungkook as he held out the fluffy honey-coloured puppy. Jungkook wore a small smile as he nodded at Hanbin, indicating for the boy to take the dog but Hanbin just stood there with a blank expression, tightly clutching his jacket.

"I got him for you," Jungkook continued, "I thought getting a dog would be a good addition, don't you?"

Hanbin stayed mum, eyeing the puppy who had his tongue out. He was obviously getting uncomfortable with the position he was and started shifting around on Jungkook's hold so Jungkook placed him on the floor. Jungkook stroked the back of the puppy's head as he slowly walked towards Hanbin with his twitching nose pressed against the floor.

"Do you like him?" Jungkook asked, knowing that he wasn't going to receive a verbal response.

The seven-year-old stared at the puppy as it sniffed his socked feet before going up to his calf. The puppy's head came up to above his thigh before it cautiously leapt up on his hind legs and placed his big wet nose on Hanbin's balled up hands. Hanbin tightly clutched his jacket so hard that the metal part of the zipper pinched his palm but he made no move the push the puppy down. He doesn't have any bad memories with dogs but he was still incredibly nervous around the unpredictable animal. But clearly, the puppy wasn't going to harm him in any way as it simply licked Hanbin's hand before pushing away and jumping back down to all fours.

Reluctantly, Hanbin knelt down, glancing at Jungkook who's smile only grew at the action. The seven-year-old tucked his slightly trembling hands underneath the dog's front legs and proceeded to pick him up. He held the dog to his chest and pushed his chubby hands through his fur. The dog responded with a soft lick to Hanbin's wrist making the corner of Hanbin's mouth twitch.

Jungkook didn't catch the twitch as he was too focused on the entire scene in front of him. His smile somehow grew even wider and he had to remind himself not to get too excited about it but he couldn't help but want to punch the air out of happiness. He truly didn't expect Hanbin to react like this hence the reason why his heart was jumping in joy.

"He's yours," Jungkook said, taking in a deep breath to control his happiness, "he doesn't have a name yet..."

Hanbin didn't respond but Jungkook knew he heard him. His attention was glued to the puppy that had taken a quick liking into him and was now biting the zipper on his jacket and pulling it. Jungkook chuckled at the duo as he stood up from his kneeling position.

"I put his bed in your room," Jungkook said, "we'll feed him again when we get ready to eat, that'll be his fourth time today. Do you want to feed him?"

Hanbin nodded.

Jungkook decided to leave the two to bond. He didn't need Hanbin to tell him that he loved the puppy nor did he need Hanbin to jump up and hug him and thank him for getting him the puppy. All Jungkook needed was what he got and that was Hanbin's happiness for something that he did.

Ugh this chapter was 😭🤢

Here's a preview for the next chapter. I've been wanting to put previews but I keep forgetting 😂😂😂:

"Unfortunately, there was one person who wasn't on board with his silence and that person was the drama-loving Kim Seokjin who was still dating Min Yoongi's ex-husband just so he could spark up an argument and possible fight at the grand opening ceremony of Taehyung's hotel.

"I think I know someone who has a little crush on you," the aforementioned idol sang teasingly, placing his chin in the palm of his hand and smiling at Jungkook.

Jungkook flinched before pausing his song and turned to face the older man. "Pardon? What are you—" "
