"brownies"
-it's seokjins turn to babysit the not babies-
"namnamnamnamnamnam" jimin whispered, rolling over to his right to face namjoons shiny yellow eyes. the bluenette blinked tiredly at his partner and hummed while he rubbed his eyes.
"it smells funny and it's not us." jimin had a frown on his face with his eyebrows furrowed in thought. "it's not hobi either, i checked."
namjoon stared into blue eyes for a while before leaning closer to kiss his partners forehead.
"go to sleep minnie, i'm sure it's your imagination."
jimin watched namjoon turn around so that all he saw was his back. very slowly he reached up to touch his forehead and smiled widely.
"love you joonie."
an incoherent noise reached jimins ears and it made him giddy inside, so he squished his face against namjoons backside and hugged the bigger fairy's waist.

"wake up you two." seokjin smiled down at the two fairies squished together. namjoon blinked while jimin sat up and rubbed his eyes with tiny fists, both of them with their hair standing up and shirts wrinkled.
"i made food."
"foooood." jimin mumbled, holding his bare tummy with a pout. namjoon nodded and leaned against jimin for support, but the small fairy fell over with the extra weight.
seokjin chuckled and walked to another pile of blankets while those two woke up.
"hoseok," seokjin poked at the lump, watching it squirm before hoseok peeked out, sitting down with the blankets wrapped around him, drowning him in fabric.
"wa?" hoseok closed his eyes when he spoke and swayed to the right before he was caught by seokjins finger. his brown and white hair was tangled up with his curls and he couldn't open his eyes longer than two seconds.
"i made food."
"oh... ca' wo carwmee?" seokjin smiled and tried to pry the blankets off the sleepy fairy
"jinnie! we're ready to play in the water!" jimin yelled from the other side of the bed, crawling his way over to where hoseok was falling asleep in seokjins hands.
seokjin sighed and plucked jimin from the mattress, picking namjoon up on his way to the bathroom.

"make bubbles jiminie!" hoseok splashed around the bowl with namjoon waddling through the water behind him.
"okay!"
namjoon and hoseok watched as jimin made multiple bubbles and the two started laughing while they splashed around and tried to catch as many bubbles as they could.
"hobi look! look!" namjoon held out his hands to show hoseok the bubble he caught and that clung onto his hands. hoseok gasped and studied the bubbles with wide eyes. namjoon giggled when he saw hoseoks green eyes magnified in the bubble. soon enough jimin's blue eyes joined in and namjoon looked up to see jimin smile at him proudly.
"you've gotten better at keeping water in its form joonie."
namjoon smiled sweetly and had a pink tint to his cheeks when jimin giggled.
"why is there water all over the floor?"
the three fairies looked up to see seokjin in the doorway of the bathroom, a hand on his hip and three hand towels on the other as he raised an eyebrow in question at the mess.
"look jinnie! namjoonie learned to hold a bubble!" jimin splashed around the water in excitement, causing namjoon to accidentally let go of his bubble. hoseok started whining and told jimin to make more bubbles as he started splashing around too. seokjin sighed and left the room to grab a big towel and place it on the floor. when he finished cleaning he turned to the fairies who were waddling their way through the water.
"nooo namnam don—aaahhhh!" hoseok flailed around in the air as seokjin pulled him out of the water and wrapped him up in a hand towel. the other two fairies laughed as hoseok was set down to the side and dried off by seokjin.
when the blond chef was finished cleaning and changing all three fairies, he took them all to the kitchen to eat what he prepared.
despite being four to six inch tall fairies, they had the appetite of a freaking human, so seokjin had to make a lot of food whenever he took care of the fairies.
and today he made brownies.
"woah!" jimin yelled as he was set down in the kitchen counter, stumbling over hoseok who fell upon landing, and steadying himself on namjoon, only to trip on his baby blue socks and land on his face. "ow."
"careful you three."
"jiminie get off of meee!" hoseok whined, trying to get on his hands and knees. he grabbed onto namjoon's pink socks causing the fire fairy to squeal.
"wait! that's the smell joonie! the one I told you about this morning that was weird!" jimin yelled again, crawling away from hoseok so the earth fairy could stand.
namjoon made a confused expression and turned to seokjin, asking a silent question.
"i have brownies—"
hoseok gasped loudly.
jimin looked at the chef with wide eyes.
and namjoon started crying.
"did i say a bad word in fairy language?" Seokjin asked, bending over so he was at eye level with the fairies.
"y-you're repl-acing m-me?" namjoon hiccuped quietly. tears fell down his red cheeks as he made a pout, and it made seokjin feel all sorts of guilty. and very confused.
"no i'm not. why do you say that?"
"because joonie is a brownie." jimin explained with tears in his eyes. he clung tightly onto namjoon's arm as hoseok softly patted down namjoons hair soothingly.
seokjin blinked.
"namnam's job as a fairy is to help around in the kitchen, those are called brownies. brownies are usually from the earth fairies, but namjoons a fire fairy." hoseok explained.
"so you think i'm replacing you?" seokjin looked over at namjoon who nodded, still crying silently.
"well, i'm not." seokjin stood up straight and walked to the stove to come back with a tray full of brownies.
"the brownies i have are like small cakes." the chef set down the tray and watched as the fairies curiously walked over and poked at small pieces. "i won't ever replace you namjoon. even if you do sometimes make me angry for burning my breakfast."
namjoon sniffled and nodded at his human. he picked up a crumb from the tray and ate it. his yellow-orange eyes shined in delight at the pastry and he gave a sweet and wide smile at the blonde chef.
"i like it!"
"does it taste good? cuz it smelled weirder than jeonghannies plants earlier." jimin turned to his partner and took a bite out of a crumb from his hands.
"woah i want more jinnie!" hoseok yelled in excitement. "a-a-and the brown soup!"
"chocolate milk?"
"yeah that!"
"oH! can i have the pink one?!" namjoon yelled as he took another bite out of a crumb he started sharing with jimin.
"i want the creamy one!" jimin called out as he practically pounced on a brownie.
seokjin sighed and walked around the kitchen to prepare the fairies drinks. all the while he wore a smile as his three charges talk happily with each other.
"wait," seokjin set down hoseoks cup of chocolate milk on the counter when he looked at jimin who was picking brownie crumbs off of namjoon's hair. "who's jeonghannie?"
both namjoon and jimin perked up at the names and smiled adoringly at each other as jimin explained. "sunmi's twin brother! and my seungkwannies older brother! those are mine and joonies children!"
"oh." seokjin took a bite out of a brownie as he watched over the fairies, recalling all the times namjoon used to talk nonstop about his family and how much he missed them.
"um... jinnie?"
seokjin looked down to see hoseok covered in melted chocolate and crumbs. his once clean yellow shirt was now dirty and his green socks were soaked. his curly hair was tangled and holding crumbs (and where the hell did the white highlights go? were they completely covered in melted chocolate?)
"hoseok how in the world do these things happen to you?"
