Serenity pov
I tried on the dress I designed for the dance. I looked in the mirror and I loved it.
A knock came at the door. Kelly my maid went to the door.
"It's your mother. Shall I send her in?" Kelly asked.
"Yes, I wanna show her my dress." I said.
Mom came in. "What is this?" Mom asked motioning to my dress.
"My dress for the dance." Mom gave me a questioning look.
"Do you like it?" I asked.
Mom hesitated. "I like it, but I don't think it's right for the dance. Let's get your father's opinion." Mom said as she took my hand.
I dragged my feet as she took my to find my father. "There you are." She exclaimed as she pulled me into the parlor.
Dimitri was also there, great.
"Yes Ashlyn?" Dad asked.
"What do you think of Serenity's dress for the dance?" Mom asked.
"Um... the color's nice with her hair." Dad stuttered.
"Forget about the color. It's too short, the heels are too high for that dress and the top is see through." Dimitri stated.
I glared at him.
"He is right Serenity. It doesn't seem appropriate for a young princess." Dad said.
"Ugh. I Hate you." I stomped.
I ran back to my room and threw myself on my bed as I yelled at my maids to leave.
Dimitri pov
I rubbed my eyes are I laid down next to Nikki. She was laying on her side, with her head propped up with one hand. And the other hand on her stomach.
"What's wrong Dimitri?" She asked.
"Serenity. Is going to the Valentine's Day dance. Mom made her come show dad and I her dress. It was mid thigh and the top was see through. Why on earth would she even design somethings like that?" I asked.
"If you want I could talk to her." She said as she rubbed my arm.
"Have her come to you, I don't want you walking around."
"Dimitri you do know I'm not due until April. And Dr. Presley took me off of bed rest last week." Nikki sad as she poked me.
"I knows." I said as I put my hand on her stomach then sat up.
"I've got work to do." I said, I kissed Nikki then left.
Nikki pov
After Dimitri left I got up. I got dressed and then Went to Serenity's room.
I knocked. "I said Go Away!" She yelled.
"Serenity, can I come in?" I asked as I turned the door knob.
As I opened the door I almost got hit with a pillow. "Hey don't hurt the pregnant woman." I said.
Serenity lifted her head. Her makeup was snugged.
"What did Dimitri send you here to tell me my dress is inappropriate?" She asked.
"Let me see it." I said as I walked over to her.
She got off the bed. "Well it is definitely a beautiful dress." I said as I sat down on the chest in front of her bed.
"But it's definitely not right for a high school Valentine's Day dance. Especially a high school one." I smiled.
Serenity just pouted at me with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Serenity I'm not trying to be a prude. It's just I know what goes on in the minds of high school boys. All they want is sex. And they will target anyone they want." I told her.
Serenity laughed at me.
"You don't believe me. Alright I'll prove it to you. Fix your makeup and then meet me in my room. Okay." I said as I took her hands. Serenity nodded.
"Alright," she helped me up.
I went back to my room and found my scrapbook. Don't judge. I get bored easily and I need to myself occupied.
I sat on the floor till I found the photos.
A knock came at the door."Come in." I said.
Serenity came in and came over to me. She sat next to me.
"Now before my family moved down her in my sophomore year. Andy and I were homeschooled by our mother. So when I got down here and was introduced to prom this is what I wore." I showed her s photo of Dimitri and I at Prom.
"Now since Dimitri was on the planning committee that's how he got us tickets. The night started off decent. Dimitri and I had dinner then went to the dance.
"I remember the two of us sitting on the bleachers. There had been some problem with something, I can't remember what. But Dimitri had to go and deal with it. So I got left alone. An innocent 15 year old, sitting with the other wallflowers. Now a senior guy I don't remember name. I don't even remember if he told me it. But he took total advantage of me. If it weren't for Dimitri who knows what would have happened. That's why Dimitri was so aggressive on critiquing your dress." I said as I took her hands.
Serenity didn't look at me. "The Valentine's Day dance is for the entire high school. That's why they were conceded." She said.
"Yes," I said.
"There was another dress I had made for Nick and Evie's birthday." She said.
"Can I see it?" I asked. Serenity smiled.
She helped me up and we went to her room.
I sat down on her bed, she put a red dress on.
"That's a beautiful dress." I said.
"I was thinking about wearing these." Serenity said as she held up some red heels with pointed toes.
"That is adorable. I want a dress like that." I said, Serenity laughed at me.
I got up, "let's go see what your parents think of this one." I smiled.
We went to the parlor that Her family had been in a half an hour earlier. Levi found me in the hallway so he accompanied us.
Dimitri was in there with his parents discussing something.
"Nikki what are you doing?" He asked.
"Remember I'm off bed rest." I said.
"Serenity that's a beautiful dress." Ashlyn said.
"Thank you." She said.
Levi held onto my dress. Since I couldn't pick him up I ran my fingered through his hair.
"Nikki told my why you we're very critical on my first dress. I was saving this dress for Nick and Evie's party the day after." Serenity said.
"I think you should wear that one." Ashlyn said.
Levi really wanted to me to pick him up. I crouched down.
"What buddy?" I asked. He hugged me.
"You know mommy can't pick you up." I said to him.
He pouted at me. "Levi come here." Serenity said.
Levi let go of me and Serenity pick him up.
We went over and sat with Dimitri and their parents. Levi sat in my lap. I asked him about his dad and he told us all about what he learned. My baby boy was growing up so fast and was so smart.
