Once Upon a Time in New York: Kagami (Christmas Special)
(A/N: I am making up this Christmas events. If they happen to be real, then wow to the person who thought of doing that. Haha!)
"Come on Taiga, New York is different to L.A. You're gonna love it!"
"Don't fuck with me! You're here for 'that' even and the girls!" Taiga spat back lazily at his friends.
(A/N: Weru Weru Taiga. Wat a zurprizu to find yu hir- *slapped*)
"How can you resist the opportunity? We just might be able to kiss a hot chick and when we even get luckier, find a girlfriend?!"
It was the day where people party at Madison Square Garden and when the clock strikes 12, you have to kiss someone. It was literally just for fun, but people sees potential from it.
Snatching a kiss and a girl or both.
But Taiga is just a perky 14 year old basketball head that literally scream "ball is life". What does he have to do with this sappy event?
"Whatever, you all go do your thing. I'll go to the Nike store sale."
"Oh here is our baller Taiga on his natural habitat."
"Shut up!" And with that, Taiga went to the said store.
He was so hyped for the new year sale. He heard his favorite J's and other limited edition basketball shoes are on sale.
He went inside the store, not really surprised how happy yet chaotic it is inside.
In the middle of people shoving each other, Taiga managed to get his hand on some of the shoes he wanted. But the one he hasn't have in his hands yet are his Nike Air Jordan One in red and black combo.
"Holy crap where is that shoes?!!" He unconsciously muttered in Japanese.
"Do you happen to be looking for this shoe?" A japanese response for his question is what he heard.
"Huh?" He turned around from where the voice is from.
But instead of focusing on the shoe, he was taken by surprise. By the woman infront of him.
"What's your size? This might be the last one. Hey? Heeeey?!!!"
"You're...."
"Huh? Pardon?" The girl exasperatedly exhaled.
With that, Taiga snapped out of his thoughts. "G-Gomen. I am a size 29.5 cm."
"Ah, great! The exact size! Here you go. Take this!" And she placed the box down on Taiaga's free hand. Enjoy your shoe!" She curtly bowed and when she was about to leave Taiga...
"W-Wait!" He was surprised himself as to why he grabbed the girl's arm. "I mean thank you. I just feel like I need to do something back for the favor."
"Eh? Really? You don't actually need to." The girl gave Taiga a gentle smile, the one that could make any boy's heart melt.
"U-Um... I-I..." The lad's cheeks are slowly growing pink.
"Then how about you hell me pick out some shoes? I don't really know the difference of each kind."
"Y-Yeah! Hey why are you giggling?!!!"
"Nothing. You're just being silly and cute. Come on let's go!"
The entire shoe shopping was spent with a blushing Taiga as she helps the girl choose shoes for certain uses. Dancing, running, walking.
Taiga also knew that her name is (Your Name), and she's based in New York. He also said he is based in L.A.
"This one seems nice? What do you think?"
"Huh? Ah, that's the version for women of my Jordan."
"Really? I think I'll buy this. We never knew if I would be playing basketball one of these days."
Taiga's phone beeped as the two of them just finished paying for their shoes.
"(Your Name), I think I need to go."
"Huh? Awww~ I thought we could grab some coffee first. Where are you headed to though?"
He thought if he would say the name of the place. Because sayid so would reveal what is his purpose in there, more like his friends.
"I am headed for the Madison Square Garden. My mate is waiting for me in there. I'll go ahead then? Bye bye!"
Even before he could manage to say goodbye, she was already gone.
And all he could do was drag his legs to the Madison Square garden. But he might be out of luck because he can't find where his friend are. And it's 5 minutes before 12 and couples are literally all over him. Still he continued to look around and a minute before 12, he just gave up.
"15, 14, 13, 12, 11.." People are now doing a countdown when.
"Ouch! I am sorry!" A person crashed behind Taiga, making him almost fall forward.
"What the fu- (your name)?"
"Taiga?"
'10, 9, 8...'
"So...where are you friends? I can't find my mate around. Haha..."
Both of them know that this is awkward as hell. 14 year old kids on the middle of a literal christmas countdown kissing event.
"Yeah. The crowd is to thick I guess..."
'7, 6, 5..."
"I hope you won't get mad with that I am about to do (Your Name)."
"Huh? What do you mean?" (A/N: when you nod your head yes, but you wanna say no, what do you- *slapped*)
'4, 3...'
Taiga let go of his shopping bags and pulled her closer to his body.
"This is my first so...sorry if it doesn't suit you." The red head titled the girl's head and angled his face sideward.
Being the "first timer", he tightly closed his eyes as he inched closer.
"I like you (Your Name)."
"2, 1!!!! Merry Christmas!!! You may now kiss whoever you wanted to kiss now!!!"
"Taiga wha- hmmm!!!"
He finally closed the distance between them and as the world around them erupted into cheers and chants, the one that exist to both of them are just...their world.
The kiss wasn't anything forced, or straight out making out and tongue fighting. It was just a kiss between two awkward adolescent. But still, a sweet one.
As soon as the Christmas song erupted through the humongous speakers of the Madison Square, Taiga finished the liplock and hugged her. "Sorry again."
It was after a few seconds when he felt her arms around his torso. "I-It's ok. Just .""'9"
Taiaga pulled away from the hug, his beautiful blush very evident. "So...can I-"
"WHA-!!!"a sudden wave of people pushed and dragged them apart from each other.
And with that, they are drifted apart from each other, no vision of even a fiber of them.

It's been a year after that Madison Square Garden incident. Taiga is now residing in Japan, and just won the Winter Cup, and awarded at the season MVP.
Alex dragged him and his basketball older brother Tatsuya to accompany her to a meet and greet for a rising ice skating star.
"Why do we have to come along?! God it's so cold outside, I just want to be home Alex!"
"Come on Taiga~! Just assume that this is a payback for my effort to kindle you an Tatsuya's brotherhood!" Alex continued to pull him.
To which Tatsuya just laughed. "Let's just do this favor for Alex, it's gotta be fine."
"Besides, you'll see an elegant show and an elegant lady. That's you type of girl, right? An elegant one? She's a sports celebrity!"
"J-Just shut up Alex!"
They reached the skating rink and problem are already a large volume. Luckily, Alex got them a free front seat.
People started to cheer out loud when a figure clad in a hoodie entered the rink. The waved to the fans and slowly discarded the hoodie, passing it to someone on the sidelines.
She was wearing a frost white fading to frosted blue as it goes down to the short flowing shiny skirt marched with skin tone stockings and white skating shoes. Her hair put into a clean elegant braid bun and face colored to looks like an ice princess.
Taiga and company's seat seems to be the luckiest choice as to when the skater turned around, his guess was now a fact.
It was her.
It wasn't immediate but finally, as she was doing the warm up routine, she spotted a familiar red head.
She can't believe it at first, but little by little he pieced it together and confirmed, her was the J's loving boy in from L.A.
She slid towards where Taiga is, front row, and did a double axle followed by a flying kiss & wink.
"TAIGA OH MY GAAAAAAHDDDD!!!" Alex continuously slapped the shoulder of her student, while Taiga was just...blown loaway by what he saw.d

It is now the meet and greet session.
The staff literally made a tall table set-up for the autograph session in the middle of the rink, obligating the fans to wear skating shoes. Which is a very bad thing for Taiga.
Alex and Tatsuya just finished the autograph and autographs opportunity, and it was his turn.
But whenever he tries to let go of the rails, he would tilt dangerously.
(Your Name) giggled at the man's enthusiasm(or so she thought) to learn to skate towards her.
But in the end, she glided towards his struggling form. "Having a bad time huh? Let me help you, put your hands in here." She turned around and placed his hands on his shoulders
Of course, the red head's face flushed an adorable red as people cheered for the cute act.
"You've grown huh? Your features matured." You made a small talk as you signed his freebies.
"And you never mentioned that you do figure skating. You just told me you're studying hip hop, jazz and ballet in New York."
"You didn't asked, you didn't even managed to ask my number. I studied those for making new routines. Come on let's take a picture."
"I was about to, if not for those hoard of people." He mumbled before
He was again guided to skate to take a picture.
"Okay give me a good smile and pose! Get a bit closer!" The cameraman encouraged.
"Okaaay. Well, this one's for New York." (A/N: Thor: The Dark World Reference)
"Huh?"
Taiga didn't manage to react as his neck's push down and something soft crashed on his lips.
It was just a quick kiss, but enough to make the red head faint on the ice covered floor.
