Home?

(y/n) had forgotten that she was supposed to have a life on Alpha Centauri. One that didn't revolve around robots, running away from them, nor planning how to destroy them.

"I-I don't know. Will's in surgery right now and we don't know his condition yet-"

Don cut off the girl's rambling by putting his hands on her shoulders. "I'll wait here for more news on Will while you go home to your family. If there's anything, I'll contact you, okay?"

(y/n) was hesitant. She didn't want to leave Will's side, but she knew that his family was already there to comfort him. So, nodding slowly,  she agreed to the man's compromise. "Okay."

Kenji thanked the man, sending Don the address of their home in case he wanted to stop by. And after saying their goodbyes, the two siblings left and got into a transport.

(y/n) stayed quiet for the entirety of the ride and Kenji respected that. While driving, he turned on the radio that he attached to the vehicle and began to hum to the tune.

With the sound of the light hums and the view of the planet's landscape; (y/n) felt relaxed.

Not the temporary relaxation when something major ended, but feeling truly comfort from the surrounded space.

She hadn't felt like that in years.

"Hey," (y/n) turned towards her brother to see his gaze in front of them. "Welcome home."

The (h/c) girl shifted her gaze towards the front. What she saw was not what she expected.

The house was beautiful. Much different from the houses made back on Earth.

It's exterior design was made out of a combination of wood and stone, with tinted windows covering the walls.

Walking in, (y/n) felt different emotions. She didn't know how or what to feel, not with Will still looming in the back of her mind.

So when she stepped through the doors and was greeted by her grandmas, she broke down. Tears streamed down her cheeks as the words of concern began to emit from her family.

"Why are you crying?"

"What's wrong?"

"Are you okay?"

Hands wrapped around her body as she looked up. Those hands belonged to her grandmas, she hadn't seen the couple since their departure to Alpha Centauri five years ago.

"I-I" She stuttered out, trying to get a sentence out of her clogged throat, but her attempts ended when she was silenced.

"It's okay, it's okay." The asian lady cooed.

The other woman grabbed (y/n)'s face and gently wiped her tears away. "Why don't you take a shower and get some rest first. We can talk later, alright?"

The girl nodded as she was squeezed into another hug before being led away by her brother and up the stairs.

"Uh, you okay?" Kenji said awkwardly, looking at everywhere else but his sister.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." The young adult nodded his head slowly, stopping when he arrived at a door.

"This is your room, we kept it clean since we didn't know when you'd arrive."

(y/n) twisted the doorknob and stepped into the room. There was nothing too special about it. Just a regular window with a simple bed, table and desk.

Stepping further in, she spotted a closet and her own bathroom.

"Get some rest. My room's down the hall and grandmas' gonna be downstairs." Kenji gave the girl one last smile before exiting her room and closing the door behind him.

(y/n) let out a sigh, one out of pure exhaustion. Walking to her closet, she grabbed whatever seemed comfortable before heading to the bathroom.

As she turned towards the mirror, she noticed the bags under her eyes and the dirty that stuck to her face.

She looked like shit.

Stripping out of her dirty and grimy clothes, she stepped in the shower and turned on the hot water.

She stayed in there for a while, much longer then needed. She stood and watched as fog surrounded her body. She could feel the wrinkles starting to form on her fingertips  and the rest of her body.

There was so much happening, but she felt hopeless.

She couldn't save Will.

There was nothing she could do to help defend Alpha Centauri.

And there was going to be an endless amount of chatter once she talked to grandmas—both of which were very concerned but quick with anger.

Finishing up, (y/n) turned off the water and got out. She cleaned herself with a towel and changed into the clothes she grabbed.

She finished up the other bathroom necessities and exited the bathroom and into her bed without hesitation.

And though there was still guilt consuming the back of her mind, once her head had hit the pillow, she fell into a deep sleep.

The Robinson sisters settled inside their Jupiter.

"We need to fin the robot." Penny tells Judy. "I mean, if SAR comes back, we need something big and metal on our side."

"Yeah well, the point is he might not be on our side anymore."

"Don't you think it's worth finding out for sure? If someone else gets there first-"

"He'll defend himself."

"Exactly. We need to consider the fact that no one will buy my book if it ends that way."

"Penny." Judy gave her sister a dead look.

"I'm just saying, we only have one option. We find the robot before dad does."

"Well, we're gonna need some help."

The two looked at each other, already having a man in mind. And with a little searching, they were able to successfully bring him back to the Jupiter.

"No. Absolutely not." Don refused. "I am an officer now, and I am not engaging in this type of illicit behavior."

"Well, if robot's hiding out, we figure who better to help us than someone who's, you know, had to hide a couple of thing of their own?" Judy said to the man, watching as his face grew into amusement.

"Oh! So now that you need a smuggler, there's no judgment? I saw we begin with a public apology to me. Maybe a proclamation? Read from one of those scrolls? From the Renaissance?"

"Fine. Don't come." Penny shrugged her shoulder, slowly backing up to the exit. "I'm just saying, when everybody finds out you knew exactly what we were doing and you let us go out alone-"

"Okay, okay!" Don threw his hands in frustration before continuing. "Here's the deal. If you were looking to hide something, like, say, a case of booze, or single-use plastics, or certain oils that are not just for cooking, you know.

Don laughed at his joke but frowned when the sisters didn't.

"There's about a trillion places, but there's only a few places within 20 miles where you can successfully hide a seven foot robot.

"Okay, whe-"

A clang in the hallway interrupted Judy. There's heads snapped towards the source of the sound as Judy took the lead.

"Who's there?"

"Whatever you think you just heard, we were just kidding." Penny yelled to them. "We would never do something so dangerous and clearly against the rules."

With another second of suspense, the person came out to be revealed as Vijay.

"Look, I'm not trying to eavesdrop or anything. I was just-"

Penny sighed heavily and turned back around. "Just what?"

"If it's true about SAR knowing where we are, then I thought that we should talk, in case this is the last time."

"Oh man, I know where this is going." Don smirked.

"Look, Vijay, we don't really have time to talk." Judy told the teen. "We need to find the robot."

"Yeah, I heard. It sounds dangerous."

"It's fine. Danger's my middle name." Don joked as he pointed to himself. "That's not true. It's Cornelius.

"I just don't want anyone to get hurt." Vijay said to the pair, ignoring Don's words.

"Yeah. The last time we did something dangerous, weren't you the one who got hurt?" Penny asked him, though there was a slight aggression in her tone.

"Okay, look, the point is uh. If-If you're doing this, I'm going with you."

"Alright let's go." Judy agreed with the boy and began walking out.

"Wait, what?" Penny stood awkwardly as she watched Judy pat the boy's shoulder and Don smack his back.

"Oh man. If my dad finds out, he's gonna kill me." Vijay said to the redhead.

"Yup. Welcome to the club." Penny replied, exiting the room while also patting his shoulder. He stood there for a moment before collecting himself and jogging out.

"Where are we going anyways?" Vijay asked.

"To get the only other person that robot's close to. (y/n)."
