Her cousin was after her for the necklace from last one week cause she wasn't able to find it anywhere in Mumbai. This was his first ever gift and noway she can give it to someone. So She had to send a picture of it so her cousin can customize it at jewellers.
It was last day of shoot for his web show. Karan was hosting a dinner buffet for the whole crew.
When she reached they all were still taking selfies and some casual group photos were taken for the social media updation by channel.
He saw her but he was caught up in the photoshoot. Still he smiled once his eyes found her.
Once it was over he came towards her and hugged her. She was not expecting it in front of the whole set. He introduced her to few of his co-actors just as a friend.
She chatted with few of them in a group.
K : laddoooo.. Come here.
She got startled. Few eyes from here and there also started searching to whom he called.
She walked towards him trying to act normal.
K: specially for you I've asked them to arrange rasmalai.
He dragged her to him by putting his arm around her neck. The whole crowd focused on them. She felt a bit conscious. He didn't care if anyone is watching or not.
T: ahhhhh.. I didn't ask you. I can get rasmalai for myself.
K: sure.
He didn't let go of her. His arm was still around her neck.
He didn't even care that some 100 people stood there and just kissed her on cheeks. He found her so adorable that he couldn't resist it.
They were having dinner and he got up because someone called.
Navya : so you both met here only? While shooting and all.
T: no.. We met through Vikas. He is my show's creative director.
They all knew Vikas and Karan were good friends.
Ananya : ohh.
Harshit : Kk is very fond of you.
She only smiled at the fact that everyone noticed it.
She sat in his car as he drove her home.
K : jess also loved your part in that short film.
T: she messaged me also.
She smiled at him and turned her face towards the window.
K : Sunday can we plan for a full day. I don't have shoot after 2 and I think yours will be done by early morning.
T: I've to attend a function.
K: what function.
T : Kind of a award function held by some local club. It's not that big award show, mostly for good work for society. It's in east goregaon.
K: so? You're a guest?
T : yes and I'll be getting an award also for that short film. Just an appreciation.
K: that's great.. Congrats.. you've to stay for the whole thing?
T : Maa and papa are really excited.
K : then I can also be there?
She sounded excited herself and he wanted to be a part of it.
T : it's very small and not that important. You've attended so many big award shows that this will irritate you.
She laughed a bit.
K : I can if you want. Send me the address.
T: you'll?? I'll have one more person cheering for me. definitely I'll make it up to you .
She was excited and in excitement She leaned and kissed him on his cheeks.
With each passing day they were becoming inseparable. They kept pinging each other about the schedule, called each other whenever got off from shoot or from any work.
It was Wednesday morning again she got a call from her cousin.
Cousin : I went to jewellery to customize that one and..
T : so.. It will be done?
Cousin : no. They told this evil eye is only available in UK. As of now there's no shipping. It's believed that it will protect the person and bring good luck or something.
She sighed as she knew she has to justify how she got it.
T: so. All evil eyes are for that only.
Cousin : that chain also that's there with the evil eye is platinum. It's sold there by some big brand and costs around 2 lakh 80k approx.
She was shocked would be an underestimate. Her cousin sounded disappointed.
Cousin : how did you get that exact copy ??
T : by luck.I'll call back.
She called him immediately. It was around 3lakhs and She didn't know how to feel about it.
T: hello.
K: hey.. Give me 5..
T : listen to me. How much that necklace costs?
K : what happened?
T : you said few thousands.
K: yes.
He didn't want to burden her.
T : are you sure it doesn't cost around 3 lakh
He sighed because he had an idea she would react like this.
K : so what?
T : are you serious?
K :I can buy whatever I want, for whoever I want. I bought 2 more for my sister's also.
T : they are your sisters. I'm..
Just girlfriend.. She wanted to say but stopped midway.
K: you're..
He said in a challenging tone.
T: we've just started and I won't be able to spend that much for...
She meant that she didn't even think of it.
K: I'm not asking.
T: you don't understand. It's not equal. We never know how this whole thing will end up and here you're...
K: no.. Wait.. So you want to tell before buying a gift for my girlfriend, I should think how much it costs..
T: you're not getting my point. Spending so much for me is not required. I'm not okay with it.
K:I had this feeling you would say like this.
He was irritated.
T : unlike you I'm not that rich or famous. So I would prefer if you just avoid this in future.
K: you earn that much for 3 or 4 episode wise. What's the big deal. You can buy that for yourself it's just that I wanted to get it for you.
T: so? I've to freaking work for one week for that much. You might get that much from an event of 1 hour.
K: Where this is going tejaswi.
T: I don't know.
K: if you don't like me spending for you that's different. Even I've given 11 or 12 years to reach this stage.
He was offended with the way she had put it.
T: I didn't mean that.
He had literally came out before the meeting could happen with the script team for the hosting show.
K : why you're so pessimistic about us. I just don't like it.
T: it's called being practical.
K: fine then. Be f*cking practical.
The next few seconds they both were silent. It was awkward. Very awkward. He disconnected. Neither of them initiated the conversation afterwards.
Her family was well settled but still they belonged to the normal category.
she took the expense for pratik's mba in abroad, loan was there but additional cost was also there. she didn't want to bother her parents with these things. Recently due to show's popularity her earning was more than earlier.
His silence was more difficult for her and she kept thinking about it.
Later she could see that her reaction was more because She felt guilty that without thinking twice he would buy her whatever it may be and here she didn't even think of it.
It was Sunday. She got ready in a saree. She went to the program with her parents. She wanted him to see her in the saree but then both of them weren't talking but she thought she had to at least initiate it.
So before going for the function she just sent a "sorry"

V: she comes from a regular family. She's helping her brother for his studies. Mostly she didn't expect it So that amount is something big for her.
J : he's right for the first time.
K : the only thing it means she's not sure about us. She doesn't see a future.
O : that's because she knows relationships are fragile. Why are you so held up with it.
K: I'm f*cking done.
V : who'll say this man had commitment issues.
O: I know man. He was freaking scared of the word C.
He came out to smoke. Jess came after him.
J : what's it?
K : it's all coming back. I can feel how bad it hurts.
if you feel the other person doesn't seem as serious as you, he thought but didn't say it.
Jess looked at him with pity. He hasn't been this sensitive in his life. Last 1 and half year had messed his whole existence.
He watched the blinking lights in the front building that was still there even after Diwali.
J : she must have felt burdened.
K: she doesn't even care either. Look. No message no calls. Nothing. If I don't initiate she won't bother.
J: I'll call her.
If he felt he made a mistake then he went out of his way so that she would understand. Here she hasn't even attempted a single call. He felt dejected cause he missed her and for some reason he wanted her to initiate first.
K : she will be busy with some award show or something.
He dismissed.
His phone pinged. He didn't pay attention to it.
O : see if the order is on it's way or not.
He opened his phone and dragged the notification section.
Laddoo : "sorry"
With in 15 minutes he was on his way to meet her in that function. He didn't had any control over him any more.
He felt as if his heart will explode. There was no emojis and nothing but he could feel himself getting overwhelmed with that one sorry.
He was hopelessly in love and there's no cure to it.

She wore a purple saree with golden border. Her hair was open and small golden jhumkas adorned her ear.
She was there with the guests. One social worker, a writer and one IAS officer named Arpit and few others. The IAS guy was around same age as her. So they did have some small talks here and there.
There were dance and song performance by orphanage kids and some comedy by local comedians.
She enjoyed it. She stood there beside Arpit as one by one prizes were distributed. He was a tall guy. So he had to bend down as he whispered into her ear about how a teenager was looking at him. She smiled as she saw how the 17 year old looked at this handsome officer.
He stood there at the back observing it and he wanted to rip that guy off her. May be the guy tried to act like a gentleman to impress her not being aware of the fact that she had a boyfriend. She looked so pretty in that saree next to some other guy and he felt his insides burning.
Her name was called. She went for the award for the short film about awareness. She saw her parents and few other known people smiling and clapping.she smiled at them but her smile disappeared when she saw him standing at the back and clapping for her. He had a cap and he looked sad. But there eyes met and she gulped trying to control herself. As she came back to her position she saw him leaving the crowd.
They had a fight, they didn't talk for 3 days yet he was here to cheer for her. If she didn't see she won't even know it. Why he had to love her like this she thought to herself.
She started getting off the stage in a hurry so that she would catch him before he left. When everyone looked at her surprised she only gave the excuse of an important call.
She ran out to the parking and frantically searched for his car. She couldn't find a range rover but she saw his mini copper.
He was inside. He leaned onto the stearing taking deep breaths. He didn't want to do anything when her parents were there.
His phone ringed and someone banged the window.She stood there. He picked the call.
T: unlock the car or come out.
He unlocked it not willing to get out of it.
She went to the other door and got inside the car.
They looked at each other for few seconds before he grabbed her and made her sit on his lap.
He moved her her hair backwards and held her face. gathered her flowing pallu to her shoulder. She looked innocently into his eyes. She looked guilty.
T: when I got ready I wished you would be there to...
He grabbed her face and kissed her aggressively as his one hand accessed her bare waist to pull her closer. She let him kiss her the way he wanted as her hands moved to his hair at back.
Once they were breathless he stared into her eyes and said in that deep husky voice "what did he whisper in your ear"
