I stared at my lady sleeping on my chest. She wanted to take a nap but wouldn't sleep unless I was with her. I chuckled at her cuteness. I stroked her purple hair while looking on my phone.

It was a boring day and there was honestly nothing to do today so I just hung out here. I'm planning on taking Emery on a second date. I'm sure she'll love it. Our last date wasn't that great.

I checked my calendar to see if any events was coming up and I almost jumped up once I saw that Emery's 20th birthday was in two weeks. I'm sure she'll like a party so I should plan one for her.

After the party with Richard, she's been trying to change herself. She acts like I don't notice but I do and it's killing me. She wears all black like I do, she tries to act more interested in my work.

She's even asked if she could join the gang. I of course said no and she got upset.

I hate the fact that she feels the need to change who she is to try to fit Richard's expectations. I really don't know why Richard acted that way and Red has said he tried to talk to him but he wouldn't budge.

I look down at her. She looks so precious. I love her so much but she can't be changing who she is because of some snarky comment from someone who doesn't even know her. It makes me mad.

I look down to see her eyes open and she's looking up at me. She looks concerned.

"What's wrong?" She asks.

"Nothing. Go to sleep." I told her.

"I'm up. I'm not tired." She says.

I just sit there staring ahead, not looking at her. She takes my face in both of her palms and pulls me to look at her. She leans up and kisses my lips but I didn't kiss back.

"Why are you mad at me?" She asks sitting up.

"I'm not." I said.

"Yes you are and I wanna know why." She says.

"It's nothing, Em." I said.

"James." She pushes. "Tell me what's wrong. Please."

"Why do you feel the need to change who you are to fit another's expectations?" I ask. It just blurts out.

"What?" She asks but she knows what I'm talking about.

"I'm not stupid, Em." I said.

"I didn't say you were." She replies back but in a snarky tone.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask standing up.

"What's wrong with me is that I have a boyfriend who expects me to act a certain way! That's what the fuck is wrong with me!" She throws a glass cup across the room shattering it.

She just snapped. I've never expected her to act a certain way. I love her because of who she is. I need to get out of here.

I go into the closet and grab my jacket. I place it on and grab my keys. I open out the door.

"Where are you going?" She asks before I go out.

"Out." I replied and she scoffs.

"Go ahead. Do like you always do." She says and I look back at her and she has a smirk on her face.

Just like Violet. I shake my head and walk out. I hear her following me down the stairs.

"You're just gonna leave when things get tough? Huh, Mr. Gangster." She taunts and I slam the front door in her face.

I'm not dealing with her bullshit. She's acting just like Violet and that's what's making me pissed. I call Axel.

"-What?" He replies tiredly once he picks up.
