Jade started curling my hair, she wasn't the best at the typical 'girl' things but she could manage curls, she made them quite big and loose, letting my hair tumble down my back. Ophelia did my make-up, she had done Jade and hers as well, she had a real talent for it. Hers was dramatic black and smoky to go with her floor length, green satin gown, that had one of those slits up the thigs and her hair was pulled back into a fancy braided updo.

Jades make up was more natural- it was only really her blush and lip-gloss that was noticeable, she was wearing an elegant black lace, mermaid gown and her hair was in a sleek high bun. Jade was so effortlessly pretty anyways she didn't need much make-up and Ophelia was one of the prettiest girls I'd ever seen, even when she wasn't trying she looked glamorous.

Me? I'm a hit or a miss, not ugly but not super pretty either- just average really. I have a button nose and full-ish lips, my eyes were probably my best feature though- the colour of them at least, they were a bright shade of blue that in the very centre go almost a deep green.

Ophelia worked her make-up magic; she made my eyes a subtle dark brown with big long eyelashes and gave me a red lipstick that almost perfectly matched the colour of my dress and for the first time, probably ever-I felt like a pretty girl.
