After the quite awkward scene the two had made in the cart of the ferris wheel, the college students kept their distances apart. Hyesoo continued to look out the ethereal view, she couldn't take her eyes off of it. Maybe it was to avoid Jeno, or just because she liked the sight she saw; that is up to interpretation. Jeno on the other hand, was staring down at his shoes, fidgeting with his hands. He was wondering why Hyesoo didn't tell him why she broke up with him.

Maybe it's because she didn't want to break up. Pfft, what kind of reason is that? Jeno, get your mind together, don't have foolish thoughts.

And after all of that, they were finally back on the ground. As they got out of the cart and stepped on the ground again, Jeno decided to make a bold move. He grabbed Hyesoo's hand, "It's getting late. I'll walk you home," he said.

It was like a scene out of a book as Hyesoo's heart fluttered by the kind statement and action. Though Jeno didn't make eye contact with her, most likely out of his nerves and embarrassment, Hyesoo couldn't help but smile at his sweet gesture.

They walked hand in hand back to the bus station. Both Hyesoo and Jeno couldn't help but feel that warm feeling inside of them out of enjoyment. Yes, the two, despite everything that has happened, have grown closer on this trip that they now enjoy each other's presence. As they both walk into the bus, they, once again, grab a seat closer to the back of the vehicle.

After a while though, the once comfortable silence became awkward, and the pair desperately needed an ice breaker to save them. "Hey, remember that store," Hyesoo said, pointing towards a small, lit up, ice cream store. The exterior was pristine and luxurious for a place to just sell ice cream, but the place had been selling desserts since 1989. Jeno turned his head to the direction of where the girl was pointing to and chuckled, "Yeah, that was where Doyoung hyung got his first job," he stated.

Hyesoo nodded enthusiastically, "Remember when we went to surprise him?" she asked, turning to face Jeno.

Jeno also nodded in ecstasy, "Yes! We went with Sungchan, and we all ordered crazy large ice creams for Doyoung hyung to make," he said, his mouth slowly curving into a smile.

Hyesoo let out a chuckle, "The look on Doyoung oppa's face when he heard the orders," she reminisced, "I haven't caught up with Sungchan in so long. I wonder what he's doing," the girl wondered.

"Don't you know?" Jeno asked, "He goes to the Academy. We just don't talk as much because he's always busy with his work," he stated.

Hyesoo snapped her fingers, "That's right! He works at an animal adoption centre!" She said, "We should ask him if he wanted to hang out. For old times sake."

"Definitely," Jeno said, "Hey, remember that shop?" Hyesoo turned to look in the same direction, only to meet eyes with a local tailor shop. Hyesoo nodded, "You and Sungchan wanted to recreate that one stupid scene from High School Musical," she said, shaking her head, Jeno chuckling at the memory.

"Hey, remember that place," she said, pointing at another building. Jeno let out a chuckle. It was nice to him to talk about the past. After all, before they were lovers, they were friends, good friends. The memories they had together just felt normal, no worries, no love, no drama. Catching up just felt like two friends that reunited, and Jeno enjoyed that feeling.

The two laughed and talked the whole ride, pointing out stores that they had crazy memories at, or just things they did together. They were quite loud, but thank goodness they were the only ones inside the bus, minus the bus driver who just listened to the college students' conversation, smiling at herself at the sweet relationship she saw. The mood didn't feel romantic or awkward, it was friendly and warm.

However, Jeno couldn't help but notice the tingling feeling of butterflies fluttering in his stomach. But, he chose to ignore that as he believed the girl didn't feel the same way. If only he knew she had that exact same feeling.

"Oh, look. This is my stop, I'll just walk back home now," Hyesoo said, grabbing her bag and getting up.

Jeno stood up as well, "Let me walk you home. It's really late. Besides, my house is like 3 streets away from you, it'll be easier for me to walk back afterwards than have to go through another 6 bus stops just to get hime," he said.

Hyesoo nodded, and they both got off the bus. They walked beside each other in silence. But it wasn't awkward, it was a comfortable silence where they could enjoy each other's presence and have time for their thoughts.

After a couple of minutes of walking, they had arrived at Hyesoo's house. She waved goodbye to Jeno and went inside. Jeno started to make his way back to his house. Now that he was alone, he had the time to think to himself. Jeno looked up at the night sky. "The stars shine brighter tonight. Mother used to say that when they shone brighter, it was because the universe is telling you that you're with who you deserve to be with," Jeno thought to himself, "I'm by myself right now though." He sighed to himself before looking back at the path in front of him, he reminisced on the day he had. The boy chuckled at his thoughts that were slightly insane.

Maybe... Life is worth loving again.
