CRNS CUTLASS
A SHOAL OFF THE COAST OF CARDONIA

"We have visual confirmation on the Imperial ships. Most of the ships are armed or are barely armed. They have white flags flying above their mast and a considerable number of people above decks." radioed by the commanding officer aboard the ship.

"We are going to need to notify HQ about this Commander!" the ship's Captain then interjected through his radio.

He was communicating with the Valour, who is now acting as the command ship of the whole fleet, who is staying just on the horizon.

The Cutlass is sailing at almost five kilometers from the starboard bow of the leading Imperial ship. They have been blasting them with signal lights as a way to communicate as currently only the Valour has magic equipment onboard.

The visiting navies of the three countries would not intervene and would only watch idly by as a sign of respect for their host country's navy who has absolute sovereignty over these waters.

Valour then notified HeadQuarters and they only received a vague message on how to deal with the self proclaimed refugees.

It is of course logical to accept such refugees be it an enemy or not. However the threat of demons disguising themselves among the crowd would be a real trouble.

Their Capital has been burnt to the ground yes. But God knows what have happened or have transpired on the last few days, demons might have done this and that.

As such they left their decision to the Headquarters.

AZALEAN AIRSHIP DRECHK

"The Scolusian are maintaning a steady course of seven knots. It appears that the fleet is composed by merchant ships and a few old Imperial warships. And based on our scopes, as far as they can get. The ships are awfully packed with people onboard and they are flying the white flag." uttered the airship's first officer.

"What is the news with the Cardonians, it has been two eversince they cut their communications, or rather they left them on the air. The Scolusians if they are really in real distress would not last long enough threading the perimeter of the Cardonian borders. That warship of theirs is surely an absolute frightening sight for civilians." murmured the Captain. He might want to render aid as soon as possible, but Cardonia has the ball on this, he wouldn't dare to trigger a diplomatic issue about this, all because of his self greed.

He was then informed of the demon attack at a certain Cardonian village, north of the Cardonian Capital. He has no words but to accept the situation as it is. Wait for their decision, their gamble.

The same is happening with the Litenians and Archesians. Demon are fearful race, they might have been "eradicated" for centuries, but their wrath is always told on various folk stories and urban legends. And the mere fact that the Imperial has an Emperor who is even a half blood. They have also been wary of the situation.

Imagine if all of the passengers aboard were demons. The whole Western Continent would be plunged to utter chaos.

...

COMMAND HEADQUARTERS

The highest ranking men and women of the Cardonian Royal Armed Forces has been struggling to decide. Due to their indecisiveness, the issue has reached the ministers and representatives, blowing the issue from a simple military encounter and threat to a political one.

They are now left pointing fingers at each other as to why the issue has been blowed out of proportion.

It seems, the top critics are hardline nationalists are seeing the issue as a very sensitive one.
