A Story Of A Country That Got Isekai'd

Chapter 16 - Reconciliation

Hours have passed since the attack. The rainy afternoon had passed and the bright sun returned, for a few hours left. Cardonian soldiers are helping in treating the wounded soldiers of the town of Brancel in the Kingdom of Archesia. Everyone is still astonished on what just happened, the blackened land full of craters are full of the mangled bodies of different beasts.

Goblins, Orcs, Wolves, Lizardmen and other demihumans have their bodies littering the blooded soil. These creatures are unknown for the Cardonians, they observed and examined the corpses, from afar they can't believed what they are shooting at but seeing it up close brings them chills.

The men in olive green dresses storm them and began to help them in every possible way. Some are treating the wounded and some are attending to the corpses. What surpised some of the townsfolk is that instead of killing the monsters they treated them fairly and was taken away, probably as prisoners.

It will be passed down as a story for generations. Iron Carriages of the Cardonian Army with big red cross in a white canvass came to the town to treat everyone. They are using advance medical practices that rivaled that of high leveled healing magic.

The Prince was also on the ground overseeing the relief effort, an hour ago the whole army is geared for war now they are in full blown relief effort.

"Your Highness! The Cardonian Prince has returned." a knight announces as he makes way on the field camp  inside the town.

Upon hearing this, the Princess who is know feeling down as how he treated the Prince and his troops and still saved their ass from the impending slaughter.

The Prince and his delegation then approached them. Upon his arrival he was greeted by the Princess and to the surprise of them all. The Princess then lowered to her knees towards the Prince.

"Your Majesty!" shouts one of the Knights.

"Forgive me, for how I acted a few days ago. It was insolence on my part to treat you badly. I humbly apologize for my wrongdoings." the Princess said as she gave her most convincing apology ever, she swallowed her pride.

She has no other choice, seeing the might of the Cardonian Army. She has either two choices if she continues to be hostile towards them. She and her people will succumb to the slaughter of the invading army of beasts, be pillaged, raped and killed or the Cardonians will do the same or bomb the whole town to oblivion.

Seeing that their fortress might have already fallen on enemy hands, she doesn't have reinforcements.  She decided to repair the relations of the two countries in which she tarnished herself. She's willingly swallowed her pride to save her people. Upon the presence of a mightier force, the Princess knew they could easily do what they want.

Surprised at her reaction the Prince then said "Princess Jahleel, I humbly accept your apology. I am still pursuing peaceful diplomatic relations between our two countries. And make up for the history we share."

The Prince then approached the Princess who is still on her knees. He then offers his hand in which she then accepts.

Everyone was still in shock, seeing their Princess kneeling before a Prince of another country, they themselves bowed towards the Cardonians. They see them as traitors but now as saviours.

Some of the captured prisoners and recovered parts of different beasts was sent to the Royal Research. In which Prince Andruei is in charge, leading the prestigious research facility in the country, they began studying these "new" species.

The townsfolk are dumbfounded when three iron chariots from Cardonia lands just outside the town, these are reinforcements to aid them, soldiers and supplies were offloaded from the Blackhawk helicopters. The townsfolk watched in awe as these iron dragons performed their mission. Even the Princess and her knights rushed towards the scene to witness the iron chriots.
