Chapter 44 - Impending Doom

Day 5
10 PM

The Company under the command of Lt. Col. Jhames Choro has reached the town of Zalnea. Along with the company is at least 200 men from the previous town, the town of Riba.

They have already encircled the small town and thus the siege has begun. The Humvees are now equipped with Long Range Acoustic Device blasted the town all night long with propaganda. The Prince's message were played over and over again, including nationalistic songs and messages from the resistance, they are provoking the small town for a revolt.

Around the same time, another company has liberated the coastal town West of the besieged larger town, the Gralve.

It was a quick victory because the town is only guarded by a small platoon of Imperials. The larger local militia immediately revolted when their Prince made an appearance on the battlefield.

10:23 PM

THE SKIES ABOVE INDAR ISLANDS

An Air Force C295 Persuader is conducting regular patrol. The Air Force has been monitoring this area when a massive fleet of a thousand Imperial ships moored here.

"The whole fleet is getting underway." an operator said as he observes the large fleet through the FLIR camera.

"Conducting manuevers at this time? They barely have visibility with all of these clouds!" the commander said.

"Phew, that is one large fleet! Their numbers are at least a thousand." one operator interjects

"This is peculiar, they are heading Southeast. Speed at 13 knots."

"Southeast? Where? Giniana is East. Theu are heading for? Cardonia? Wait what?!" shockingly asked by their Commander.

This was quickly relayed to the HQ Command.

"This is Commander Quizon, you are tasked to maintain contact and monitor the Imperial fleet. Do not engage."

The night went on. Later the C295 Persuader were replaced by a P-3 Orion. The Air Force will now continuously monitor the fleet.

DAY 6
7:00 AM

Simultaneously the Ginianaian national anthem were blared towards the town of Zalnea and Gralve. Using the large LRAD's and speakers atop the armored Humvees. Propaganda messages were blared all night long.

Meanwhile reconnaissance flights reveal large movements of Imperial troops. They are now assembling on the city of  Klenda. It seems the Commander for the Imperial troops on Giniana are pulling all his remaining forces even from the towns and cities near the town where the Royalties are holding up, they are in the town of Lincodas.

It seems that the commander is going to take the bait.

"ARGHHHHH!!! CAN YOU SILENCE THAT THING?!!! IT KEPT ME UP ALL NIGHT LONG!" the town mayor ranted as he points towards the iron vehicles.

"As much as we want to, our arrows wouldn't reach them. And besides even our wyverns are getting shot down by their guided arrows. I am beginning to be impressed by theie weaponries. If they wanted to, they could have sieged us yesterday and captured this town by now!"

"WHAT THE HELL COMMANDER?! ARE YOU WITH THEM?!" angrily asked the town mayor.

"I am just stating the fucking obvious mayor!"

The whole day proceeded with nothing much happening.

Their fleet are steadily making their way towards Cardonia. By now it is clear as day that they are heading towards Cardonia itself.
