RCNS ENDEAVOUR
20 KM OFF THE SOUTHWESTERN COAST OF GINIANA

The Cardonian Regent have returned aboard the ship after his excursion to the Dwarf Kingdom. He was abe to seal a very spectacular deal between the Naldian King. Blueprint in exchange for the capture of the Dylaslan forces stuck at their ports.

But today a national defense meeting is on the schedule.

From the command room of the ship, they are connected realtime using data links to the country's "HQ", the main command and control center for the whole armed forces. As the current standing commander in chief he is responsible for the country's armed forces.

The meeting would be facilitated by top officials of the armed forces and due to the current nature of the country, representatives from active and capable defense industries were present, by standards they are only summoned on such meetings that involves national security when the country is in war and or great need. All of the Ministers are laso present to provide necessary data or information.

Also listening were the Cardonian King himself and the second Prince. The five dukes and higher members of the parliament are also present.

...

After exchanging greetings they've then proceeded. The meeting originally has the current standing of the fleet as it's agenda but would be then treading much more important issues.

"As of the moment, we are deploying four out of six R-class frigates, one is undergoing regular dock side maintenance the other of course is undergoing major repairs. Five of out six Flower class corvettes are currently deployed to designated areas with only one being resupplied and undergoing light maintenance. Two out of three of the Emperor Class Destroyers are active, with only commissioned the other is in advanced stages of sea trials and the third is already being fitted out, the Chancellor would be undergoing sea trials within a week."

"The Region class LST's are also heavily used for transporting needed supplies and materiel to the Giniana, we are already using a small airstrip near the oil fields, C-130's and C295's are being used to lessen the stress to our LST's. Overall, the whole fleet would only last for at least a month at sea before they would be needing maintenance, resupply and the crew's R/R . We could push them for a couple of months more but this would also mean much greater downtime." a Navy official reported.

"We could push our ships to their limits if we need to and the ships are fairly young, but we would be risking important assets to miss their scheduled maintenance. Running them to the ground now would only cause us more trouble as our current production capability of spare parts are limited to a few ships at a time." the Defense Minister added.

Everyone is full aware how limited Cardonia's hulls in comparison with the current operational needs. Following the rule of three, ideally only 1 out of three ships within a class woupd be out at sea, as the two are undergoing maintenance and the other being prepared to replace the one at sea. But of course during war time this procedure would be cut to at least two-ship rule, wherein the a ship is at sea and the other is being prepped up to replace the said ship.

The Cardonian fleet were built on the notion that it would be only defending the country's waters, good enough to fend off a naval invasion and broke through a naval blockade. It was purely a defensive fleet with limited power projection provided by the then aircraft carrier Valour and the other, a modified Colossus Class that preceded her and now the BPC Mistral Class, Endeavour.

The Regent then spoke "How is our fuel situation? Can we maintain our current assets as it is? Discounting of course maintenance schedules and other factors."
