The Cardonian envoys led by the Regent himself exited through the very steampunk train station outside the town. They were then guided by the buffed Naldian troops where the Regent were given full military honors as he enters the fortress the town. The buffed Dwarven soldiers lined up on the side of the street with their rifles held at their chest.

Locals were then drawn in with all the hustle and bustle as the soldiers prepared to greet and accept these humans in very mysterious clothes.

The Regent is escorted with the country's top diplomats, members of his Prince Battalion and the Royal Guards, some Archesian translators and members of the Archesian knights and the same could be said with the Ginians.

The Cardonians were at awe as they observed this Dwarven size, not only because of the locals and basically every structure here at best 3/4's of the human 'normal size'. But how the town was carved on this side of the mountain, almost half of it is inside the mountain itself. Their attitude makes it even more fascinating, it is an architectural feat.

Cardonian military officers carefully examined the Naldian defenses as they march through the main street of the fortress town. Giant barrage cannons were all around the town overlooking the airspace above and the mountain base on the bottom, these are obviously for use against enemy airships and troop formations.

"Your Highness, welcome to the humble town of Grilda! You and your colleagues are welcome in our town!" the Town Mayor said as he personally receives the envoys.

The group then proceeded inside the town hall, which is fairly large considering the dwarves' physique. The hall is also very luxurious compared to how 'dirty' the buildings outside.

The party was immediately led towards the dining hall where a small banquet is being prepared. They've learned that this is the Naldian tradition in receiving guests. The aroma of a well-done turkey looking dish, cheese, and wine fills the atmosphere of the elegant dining hall.

"Apologies Your Highness if our top officials didn't let you in further towards the Capital. To be honest we are one of the farthest towns on the whole country." the mayor said.

"Oh I see, I thought that this town is where I can talk to your officials, that this is the town where you normally receive guests. It seems that they didn't allow us purposely to proceed further, is that it mayor?" the Cardonian Regent replied.

"Apologies Your Highness. But currently, there is a lot of Dylaslans taking refuge at the Capital, these are sailors that diverted to our port once the news that your navy is imposing a strict blockade on the waters north of us."

"Dylaslan merchants? And yes we are currently imposing a naval blockade to cut off the maritime trade between the Empire and Dylasla." the Prince said as he gulps down the purple wine.

"I really sincerely apologize that the Cardonian Crown Prince has to settle on our humble town for the time being. We are avoiding a possible clash between your forces in the middle of our capital as one their Prince is one of those seeking shelter." the mayor added, when the Dylaslan Prince was mentioned it certainly grabbed the attention of the Cardonians.

"Why would a Dylaslan Royalty be so far out from their homeland?" the Regent quickly asked.

Realizing that he has slipped a piece of vital information just like that, the mayor tried to dismiss the issue and quickly moved on from another topic.

"Haha, nevermind Your Highness, you should really try to make yourself at home. Our diplomats and officials are to meet you tomorrow or the day after that."

The banquet proceeded smoothly, several merchants and some of the local officials have commenced bilateral talks on the Cardonian envoys. The military has also started with their talks on their counterparts. Same as every country that they have encountered, the Naldians were keen on the Cardonian weapons.
