"Why Lauren? Why would she do this to me?" I sob into her shoulder.

"I don't know Emilie. I honestly don't know," she comforts me. After seeing the hickey, I drove to Lauren's house.

FLASHBACK

I knock on the door.

No response.

I knock again.

Still no response.

I pound on the door, tears staining my cheeks.

The door finally opens with Lauren standing there in black boxers and a blue hoodie with her hair in a messy bun. She had a pen in her hand.

"Emilie, are you ok?" She asks.

I raise my head and her eyes go wide. She opens the door all the way and lets me in.

She places the pen down and follows me to the couch.

"Emilie what happened?"

"B-Billie. S-she has a hickey on her neck that I didn't give her. She broke her promise," I broke down. I got up from the couch and started walking back and forth, pulling on my hair.

I catch a glimpse of my promise ring and I rip it off my finger. I look at it once more before putting it back on my finger. I fell back to the couch, and Lauren hugged me.

FLASHBACK OVER

"You want me to call Finneas?" Lauren asks.

I nod. "Call Riley too please," I whisper.

She nods and opens her phone and dials them.

I take out my phone and search my contacts, finding Jackie's number and texting her asking her to come to Lauren's. I send her the address.

"Emilie? What happened? What's going on?" Finneas rushes over to me.

"Billie," I whisper. "She had a hickey on her neck that I didn't give her. She broke her promise, knowing what happened to me in the past."

He helps me up from the couch and hugs me. The door slams open, with a gasping Riley and Jackie standing there.

"We ran here. What the fuck happened?" Riley said. I looked up at Finneas and he nodded. He explained what happened to them.

"That's horrible Em, I'm sorry," Jackie said.

There is another person at the door, knocking ferociously. Finneas lets me go and I go and open the door.

Fucking mint.

"Leave."

"Emilie, let me explain," her voice cracked.

"BILLIE LEAVE," I raise my voice slightly.

"Baby please," she tries to come close to me.

"BILLIE LEAVE GODDAMMIT!" I punch the wall beside the door, making a hole in the wall.

Billies head hung in shame. She sniffles. She turned and started to walk away.

"Billie wait," I say. She stops and turns around. Her eyes and nose red.

I walk towards her, closing the door behind me.

"Why?" My voice cracks.

"It didn't mean anything. I'm sorry. I was stupid and I wasn't thinking. Drew was drunk and high and she was all touchy and gave me a hickey," she whispers.
