Aurora walked through the airport in Los Angeles at 6:00 AM. She managed to finally get a flight, two days later. It was January 31st, her and Daniel's one-year-anniversary. She dragged her bags through the airport, taking off one of her coats. She looked up to see Daniel standing on the other side of the room with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
A smile of relief rose to her and tears brimmed Aurora's eyes. She tightened her grip on her suitcase and ran across the room. She let go of the handle, jumping into Daniel's arms. Her legs wrapped around his waist as his arms embraced her. He kissed the side of her head multiple times, mumbling, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm a jerk."
"I'm sorry too." Aurora looked up at him.
"No, no, don't be. I was an arse." Daniel sighed and placed Aurora back on the ground. He cupped her face with her hands. "You're doing so well balancing all this, I shouldn't have made it harder for you."
"Happy anniversary." Daniel whispered back brought their lips together. He pulled her closer to him as her hands went to his hair, tugging on his curls gently. "I love you."
"I love you too," Aurora mumbled against his lips, kissing him again. "So much."
