Don't me mad at me for this one.

Y/n's View

"Y/n." Jodi, my sister, says.

"Yeah?" I ask as we walk inside.

"What if I don't fit in?" She asks.

"Don't try to. Remember when I first started high school?" I ask.

"On the first day, someone threw a water balloon filled with blue dye at you." She says.

"Why do people like me now?" I ask.

"You weren't scared to come out of the closet. You made out a girl at a party." She says.

"That made me sound like a jerk. You're right, I didn't try to be someone else." I say.

"Okay." She says.

"I'll see you at home." I say.

She smiles and I fist-pump her. She walks away and I open my locker.

Everyone here was taking college classes, but in high school. We were in dual enrollment and Jodi is only 13. I got in when I was 14 and I've been here since.

"Hey daddy." Dixie says.

"Hey." I say.

Dixie and I aren't dating, but we joke around. She takes my schedule and I take hers.

"We have every class together." She says.

"You signed up for drama?" I ask.

"Yeah." She says.

"Last year, you got put in drama and you hated it." I say.

"Things change." She says.

I roll my eyes and we go to first period.

"Y/l/n." Mr Holland says.

I sit at my desk and he looks at me.

"Y/l/n." He says.

"Y/n." He says.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Why didn't you answer?" He asks.

"My last name is Hills." I say.

"Didn't your mom just get married?" He asks.

"Yeah, but he's an ass. My dad didn't change my name." I say.

"That's what it says." He says.

"Call me Hills." I say.

He rolls his eyes and sighs. He hands me a stack of paper and I hand them out.

He sits back at his deck and eventually he falls asleep.

"Daddy." Dixie whispers.

I look at her and she hands me a piece of paper.

"Yeah." I say after I finish reading it.

Time Skip

"Y/n and Dixie will show you how to do the scene." Ms Davis says.

"Huh?" Dixie and I ask.

"Please." She says.

We get up and go on the stage.

"I can't go with you." Dixie says.

"Why not?" I ask.

"We're two different people." She says.

"That's what makes us perfect for each other. We never get bored." I say.

"How would I even tell my parents?" She asks.
