Frantically, I fiddled with the hem of my purple dress, then I dropped it and stepped in front of the mirror.

In front of me stood a proud young lady. My long, purple halter gown flowed effortlessly to the ground, barely skimming the floor. Hiding under there were my glittery heels. My waist was cinched with a silky ribbon, giving me a more prominent figure. My hair and makeup were done by professionals, looking effortlessly flawless.

A pair of hands wrapped around my shoulder and I saw Jessica's reflection in the mirror. "You look beautiful."

I turned around to face the maid of honor. Like me and all the other bridesmaids, her dress was similar. In fact, all of our dresses were the same except for the sleeve style. Natalie thought it would be better if we all slightly differed to give some variety. Jessica's dress was a chic, one shoulder strap.

She looked just as stunning.

"You too," I beamed.

She appreciatively smiled at me until a knock came from the door. Since door duty was apparently my thing now, I got it.

"Yes?" I poked my head through the crack, not wanting anyone to peak into the hotel room. All of us were dressed and ready to go and Natalie was in a different room, but still I felt like a little mystery was good.

I had expected many people. Maybe Mr. and Mrs. Cullen, maybe Ethan coming in to see if his bride was okay, maybe even room service.

What I did not expect to see was two groomsmen, specifically the troublesome brothers, standing at the door.

Normally I would've shut the door in their faces but their worried looks make me second guess. This was an emergency. Within an instant, I slid out the door and into the hallway.

"Please, please, please don't tell me Ethan's having second thoughts," I begged. "Is he gone already? Do you think we can catch up with him?"

"No," Damien clarified, making the panic swell up inside of me. Suddenly, the urge to rip out my hair was increasingly strong.

"No?" I shrieked. "He's gone gone? We won't make it before the wedding?"

Dean punched his brother's arm before turning to me. "He meant no, Ethan isn't running away."

I let out the biggest sigh of relief.

"But, we have a big issue. Maybe even bigger than a runaway groom," Damien told me. I scoffed. What bigger issue could there be? I didn't see any reason for the wedding to not take place if both parties were willing. Then, when he spoke his next words, ice chilled my bones. "I'm missing my tie."

Well crap!

Normally, a missing tie didn't seem like that big of a deal, right? Well, not according to Bridezilla. She was very keen on a strict uniform. While the bridesmaids wore purple dresses, the men were to wear matching ties. Knowing her, she'd burn down the venue if she caught wind of this.

I sucked in a breath. "Shit!"

"Yes, shit indeed," Damien agreed.

"How... how could you lose your tie?" Without waiting for him to answer, I began pacing. "Where'd you lose it? It couldn't have gone far. Did you retrace your steps?"

He sheepishly cleared his throat, making me freeze. "Uh... well there are many places it could be."

I turned to him and gave him a stare so heated it could melt ice caps. "What. Does. That. Mean?"
