I meet with Artemis everyday. And everyday. She never fail to amuse me. At sa lahat ng araw na iyon ay kasama ko si Niklaus pero hindi siya lumalapit sa amin. He's sitting far from us but quietly listening. Tuwing tinitingnan ko siya ay palihim naman itong lumilingon sa amin.
It's been a week. And I think we've gather enough information from her.
At sa haba ng panahon na nakasama ko siya ay gumaan ang loob ko. I don't think vampires are capable of feeling emotions. I don't even feel pity for other people we kill and feed on. But for her, she's different. She's like a jewel that's too precious. I can't let someone harm her. Even my brother. I can't let him cause her harm if that's what he's planning to do. But I know my brother. He won't do it. He's in love with Artemis. Kahit na ayaw nitong aminin ay alam ko. I know very, very well.
Naputol ako sa pag-iisip ng may chupacabra na pumasok sa hall.
"Your majesty, may sulat po galing sa Callahan", sabi nito.
Kumunot ang noo ko. Nilipat ko kaagad ang tingin ko sa aming ama. Royal father didn't seem to look surprise. Sa katunayan ay para siyang nasisiyahan.
He opened the letter.
"Please, read it Royal Father", si Vladimir.
"I invite the Ruler of Sighisoara, King Ambrogio Hawthorne V at the Callahan Palace for thanksgiving dinner. Signed by Melvina Callahan".
Ng marinig ko iyon ay kaagad nanlaki ang mga mata ko. An invitation for a dinner party?
"Royal father, what if that's a trap?", sabi ni Niklaus.
Nilingon siya ng aming ama. "Crown Prince, you don't have to worry about it. It's been done. The negotiation is done and they're just being grateful", sabi ng aming ama.
Kumunot ang noo ko. Tapos na ito? Paano? The Callahan and the Hawthorne are enemies. How come they made a negotiation? What for?
"Don't worry, Royal brother. Everything is smooth. We planned this already. Walang loopholes", sabi ni Vladimir sa kay Niklaus.
My brother just rolled his eyes to him. Ignoring what he said.
"This is tonight. I'm bringing Rane and a few higher rank death dealers. Crown Prince, Prince Cassius and Prince Vladimir. You'll come to the thanksgiving dinner", sabi ni Royal father.
It's my pleasure. I'm willing to investigate about this thing. Kung ano man ang meron dito. I'll take that Vladimir down. He looks so high of himself. He's not even pure Royal Vampire. Tinatawag lamang siyang Prince dahil siya ang panganay sa anak ng aming ama sa Pure Vampire.
When the sun is down. We're off from Sighisoara to Callahan Palace. Using carriage and not using our supernatural speed.
Sa loob ng carriage ay kasama ko si Niklaus at Vladimir. My brother is just quiet habang ito namang si Vladimir ay hindi matigil sa kanyang pagmamayabang.
Natigil lamang ito sa pagsasalita ng may lumipad na bato galing sa labas at tumama sa bintana sa direksyon ni Vladimir.
I almost laugh at mabuti ay napigilan ko ang sarili ko. Nice shot, Niklaus.
Ng makarating sa palasyo ng Callahan ay kaagad akong napatingala.
"First time here, Royal Brother? It's my fourth time", pagmamayabang ulit ni Vladimir.
Bumaba ako sa carriage. I can't stand in the same place with Vladimir anymore. Kasunod ko naman ay si Niklaus. Death dealers gather around us. Naunang naglakad ang aming ama. Beside him is Niklaus, on his right. I'm on his left. I smirk knowing Vladimir walks behind us.
