Right after Abraham left the party. He went to the woods to meet his one true love. A human.

"You really love that vampire, Vashti!? You'll abandon our clan and rules just to be with someone like him? You'll only put your life in danger!", sigaw ni Philetus, her father. The current leader of the Callahan.

"You can't force me. I love him, papa and he loves me too. What we feel for each other is true kaya walang dahilan na mapahamak ako. He'll protect me!", sigaw ni Vashti. "Parang awa mo na, PAPA!".

All he siblings disgust her for breaking the family rules. Hindi naman sila pinagbabawalang maikasal sa taong tunay nilang minahal pero ang nangyari sa kay Vashti at Abraham ay tunay na ipinagbabawal.

The forbidden love.

Philetus sigh in disagreement. Napailing siya sa katigasan ng ulo ng anak.

"From now on, hindi mo na ako tatawaging 'Papa', Vashti. You have no room in this family. If that's what you want then, GO! LEAVE! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU ANYMORE!", sigaw ni Phelitus.

"Papa, parang-awa mo na. PAPA!", sigaw nito pero kaagad na umalis si Philetus sa kanyang harapan.

All the maids she had. All the bodyguards she had. They all vanished. There's no one who'll answer her calls. Kaya napilitan siyang lumisan. She ran to the forest and scream out loud. Calling Abraham. Calling for the love of her life. Calling the only man she loves.

"Let's get out of here", ulit ni Abraham sa sinabi nito kanina.

Vashti nodded to him. She looked back to the Callahan's Palace not too far para sa huling tingin. Tears escape again but this time, she already decided.

Namuhay silang dalawa bilang mag-asawa. They gather troops to be with them. Iyong mga taong minsan ng naligaw sa gubat. They live very far from the Sighisoara and far from Callahan's.

Nagbunga ang kanilang pagmamahalang dalawa.

"Let's name him Alaric", nakangiting sabi ni Vashti ng masilayan ang anak na lalaking kakasilang niya lang.

Abraham chuckled. "Beautiful name my love", he then kissed Vashti's forehead. Niyakap nilang pareho ang bata.

"Ma'am Vashti, Sir Abraham. May tao po sa labas, hinahanap kayo", sabi ng isa sa kasamahan nila doon.

Vashti's forehear curled. Napatingin si Abraham sa asawa bago nagpaalam para tingnan kung sino ang panauhin.

Pero bago pa makalabas ng tuloyan si Abraham sa silid kong nasaan si Vashti ay pumasok ang isang medyo may katandaang lalaki. He's smiling. He walk closer to the couple with teary eyes.

"Papa", naiiyak na sabi ni Vashti sa ama. "Papa, you're here".

Lumapit ang matanda sa dalawa. He's tears finally drops. Nakatingin ito ng diretso sa batang hawak ni Vashti.

"Is this my grandson?", tanong ni Philetus.

"Yes, sir", si Abraham na ang sumagot.

Tumango si Philetus. "I'm here to apologize for what I have said, Vashti. Anak, I hope you'll forgive me. I just don't want the history to repeat. Ayaw ko lang mapahamak ka", sabi nito sabay sulyap kay Abraham.

"No, papa. I'm sorry. But I didn't regret my decision to runaway with Abraham", sabi ni Vashti.

Tumango ang matanda sa dalawa. Nakangiti.

"I won't let anything bad to come near my family, sir. I might be related to your enemies but the Balkans aren't cruel as you think we are", sabi ni Abraham.

Phelitus tapped Abraham's shoulder. "I know, son. I just talked to you father to settle everything and to promote peace on both sides. He's on his way to the Hawthorne to ask for approval", sabi ni Phelitus.

"You can come back to us, Vashti. Bring all you families with you. We have plenty of rooms there".

Umiling si Vashti. "We're at peace here, Papa. Ito na ang buhay nakasanayan namin. And I want my children to grow up this way".

Phelitus tried to convince Vashti and Abraham to go with him but he failed.

"We'll just visit you there every month, Papa", ang tanging sabi ni Vashti.

As years gone by. Habang lumalaki si Alaric ay marami silang napapansin sa kanilang anak. He grow abnormally. Mabilis ang paglaki. He also have extraordinary strength and abilities kaya sinanay ito ni Abraham.

Until Vashti labored another child ay ganoon pa rin. Hindi na sila nagtaka pa. Abraham is a vampire and Vashti is a human kaya may epekto rin na nangyari sa kanilang mga anak.

Mas lumaki rin ang lipunan nila Abraham. Mas dumami sila. The humans they sheltered are now having a family on their own. They are also trained to hunt wild aninals in the woods.

Lingid sa kanilang kaalaman na may iba pang mga bagay na nakatago sa lugar na ito.
