The sun sets. Madilim na ang sa labas ng matapos naming kausapin si Abbot.

"Dito ka na manatili ngayong gabi, Abbot. Delikado nang umuwi sa ganitong oras", si Aphasia ng naghanda ng hapunan namin sa hapag.

We gathet around the table at nagsimula ng kumain. We have a little money so we can still be able to pay and buy our needs but I think its not enough.

Maingay kami sa hapag habang kumakain. Naantala lamang ang aming tawanan ng may narinig na sigawan sa labas. Just like our first time here in Alderidge. The terrible screams of people outside.

"Gather all the weapons", sabi ni Alaric na kaagad naman naming sinunod. "No one go outside until I say so".

Patuloy pa rin ang sigawan sa labas. Ganito ba talaga dito palagi? Sigawan? Halos ba gabi-gabi sila sinasalakay dito? Their lives must be so hard, huh? And now, our lives are the same with them.

Kumalampag ang aming pintuan. Naalerto kaming lahat doon.

"Vampires cannot enter houses when they aren't invited in", si Abbot.

"Not unless the owner of this house already died or no one owns this house", si Amadeus na binalingan si Abbot. Itinutok ni Amadeus ang crossbow sa harapan ng pintuan.

Tumahimik na ang paligid. Sa bandang malayo ay naririnig pa rin namin ang sigawan ng mga tao.

"We need to help them, Ric. Just like before", si Aeneas.

"We will. Just wait", aniya at sinilip ang labas galing sa bintana. Sumilip din ako doon ngunit wala akong nakikita kundi dilim lamang.

"They're gone", si Alaric. "Artemis and Ambrosia, you stay inside. Kami lamang ang lalabas. Amadeus will stay with you", dagdag niya.

Amadeus nodded, and so Ambrosia.

"But, Ric. Isn't it good that will go with you there and fight?", sabi ko.

"But it's safer for you if you'll stay inside. We can handle this, Art. Marami na kami", sabi ni Alaric. "Abbot, dito ka na lang din. Kami na ang lalabas", at lumabas na siya kasama si Aeneas at Aphasia with stakes and daggers. Kasama rin ang tatlo sa apat na lalaking kasama namin. The other one remains.

Ng makalabas sila Alaric ay hindi ako napanatag lalo na't mas lumalakas at dumadami ang sigawan sa labas. My heart beats so fast like I couldn't contain it. Natatakot ako at nababahala sa kalagayan ng aking mga kapatid na nasa labas.

"We should do something!", sabi ko sa kanila.

Ambrosia look at me. Bumaling siya kay Amadeus na ngayon ay nakaupo lang. They seems so relax like there's nothing going on outside. Si Abbot naman ay nakatayo lang sa likoran ni Amadeus. He seems terrified. At least there's someone inside here feels the same way as me.

"We should be out there and help them. We are hunters. Dapat ay naroon tayo at tumulong. This is Lolo's people. He protected them for years and now he's gone, dapat iyon din ang gagawin natin!", sabi ko.

"It's too dangerous outside, Art. Alaric, Aphasia and Aeneas can handle it", Ambrosia said calmly.

"Then it's more dangerous out there while they fight without our help. The arms more the better. Aren't you scared what will happen to them there? They are our siblings", sabi ko.

"Yes! They are and so are you. Mama said clearly that we should protect you at all cost, Art. We are scared for them but what Alaric said is better for us to stay inside here. Mas lalo lamang bibigat kunh naroon tayo kasama nila", hindi na napigilan ni Amadeus na tumayo para harapin ako. He then hissed after feeling pain in his wound.
