Chapter 17: Bad Memories

~(Y/N)'s POV~

All of us were on the search for Jesse again. Me and Jaden were holding hands while walking. Zane was ofcourse leading the way as the born leader he is, Syrus, Aster and Dr.Crowler were walking behind me and Jaden trying to catch up.

"Where do you think Jesse could have gone?" Jaden asked me with concern.

I shook my head, not knowing. "I wish I knew Jaden. I wish I knew." I sigh and told him, "I get the feeling this is all my fault. If I didn't let Yubel warp my mind I-"

Jaden's grip on my hand was tighter, "No. It's my fault. I stopped having feelings for you and dated your brother. I should be the one to blame..." Jaden then gave me a smile, "...But don't worry. I'm gonna make sure everything is right. That's a promise."

I smiled back and gave him a nod.

Me and Jaden continued to walk in silence until a question popped into my head, "I find it strange..."

"You find what strange?" Jaden asked.

"That...you suddenly stopped loving me before. That doesn't happen overnight." I said.

"Like we said, I needed to unlock the Supreme King inside me. That's where my love for you is." Jaden said chuckling like he told her that a million times.

"Yeah we keep saying that but The Supreme King can't be the only part of you that loves me..." I paused and thought carefully of what I was about to say next, "I think someone locked your feelings for me away."

Before Jaden could respond, we heared Zane say "The path is blocked."

We all looked at what looked like huge pure Obsidian rocks blocking the road we were all following.

Jaden then spotted a cave within the Obsidian rocks, "Hey guys! I think I found our way through."

All of us gathered around the darkened cave, it looked endless just from the entrance.

Syrus turned white as a ghost, "W-Well, looks like Jesse isn't this way so let's turn around and-"

"No." I interrupted Syrus, "We go through. I need to find my brother. Also to take down Yubel."

Everyone stayed silent and looked at me in shock.

Zane was the first one to walk up towards me. He placed his hand on my shoulder, "You've grown up a lot (Y/N)."

I couldn't help but smile and blush a little from the comment. I managed to muster a "Thanks."

Zane then lead the group again, "Alright. Let's go through the cave. Everyone stick together."

~Aster's POV~

We were all traveling through this damp and wet cave. It smelled like someone died in here.

Searching for Jesse I think is a waste of my time. The only reason i'm here is because of (Y/N)'s safety.

I care about her a lot. My friendship with her means so much to me. No one knows what it's like to lose a parent, except for (Y/N).
