Chapter 12 - If all arguments are like this, everyone would be doing it

Start from the beginning

"I'm sorry! I-You think I would care for an apology?" He rudely interrupted.

I clamped down on my own temper, knowing a defiant reply would erupt the smoking volcano in front of me.

"I just thought that my plan would be-I don't care what you think! I don't need you to be a smart alec, thinking you are above anyone else!" Angelo's nostrils would be emitting smoke and a big red angry symbol would appear on his head if we were in an anime.

Count from 1 to 10, Elizabeth. Take deep breaths like a pregnant women giving birth and count.

"All I wanted to do was make use of a perfect opportunity to-to get yourself killed? To get the Mietitores and Rafael killed?"

That's it.

I thwacked his forehead and yelled,"Stop interrupting, you rude jackass! I'm sorry I risked everyone's lives but at least the plan is a success!"

Angelo became a statue for a few seconds, probably shocked that someone actually thwacked his forehead in the middle of an argument. Normally in an argument, he would have a gun pointed at his head or get knocked to the ground.

In the midst of my irritation, I failed to notice his lack of animation and ranted on and on.

"I purposely left out the part where Cody was going to be welcome those men personally because I knew you wouldn't want to take the risk of involving him in our investigation."

Angelo recovered from the forehead assault and kept inching closer and closer, the gap between us diminishing within seconds. However, I was blinded by my own rage and only focused on his face, not registering the fact that it is getting closer to mine.

"But Simon is a freaking bulletproof bank vault who would not speak even if you torture him, much less than try and communicate with him!"

My too-long bangs poke my eyes and I roughly sweep it backwards, only for it to fall back into the same position and continue the poking. I blinked my eyes in irritation, making a quick mental note to have it trimmed.

"The only way was through Cody's loose mouth and everything will be and was okay under careful engagement!"

His feather-like touch moved my bangs to the side, easing the irritation on my eyes. Only then did I realised just how close he was from me.

My back was already pressed tightly against the sofa, trying to get away from Angelo who was leaning in. I frowned in confusion at his intense stare, the anger I have seen umpteen times in his icy blue eyes long gone.

"Tonight, you were lucky. But what about the next time?" He murmured and I could not help but think that he sounded really sexy.

His voice almost made me forget to reply his question, as my mind burst with inappropriate thoughts about the man right in front of me.

"...I will do-do the same if the situation calls for it."

The Mietitore prince slammed his hands to each side of my head, effectively caging me in. I do not know if my heart beat in fear or in excitement for what is about to come next, but damn, I was sure Angelo could hear the loud thumping.

He smirked and breathed into my ear,"Wrong answer. Try again."

I could feel the ghost of his lips as he blew air into my ear, making me squeak out. My forehead grazed his shoulder as I looked down at my lap, unable to handle his provocations.

If Angelo act like this with every girl, even the blind can see why girls fall at his feet and worship him.

Before I can come back to my wits and fend him off, he lifted my chin and forced me to fall right into the abyss of those sapphire eyes. I almost drowned in them if not for Julian's life-saving act of opening the door.
