Ryan,
I drove to Lauren's house as the music was blasting through my speakers. The radio was playing a couple new songs and I had to say, they played a couple bops. Normally, when its a new song being played, Im ready for disappointment.
'Got a shift at 10 AM.
Gotta dip at 10 PM.
Gotta get that cash,
Won't get past the lunch break.
I ain't had a smoke break
In about two days, don't break.
Been about three years since I dated you
Why you still talking bout' me like we together?
I moved on for the better,
You moved on to whoever.
I was down for whatever and then some,
You gon' make me late to work again

Ryan stopped at a red light and checked her phone for any notifications as she nodded to the song.
Lauren; can we reschedule? Emergency came up
Lauren; I know you'll be upset with me so I'll come over first thing in the morning:( im so srry !
Lauren; u don't have to pay me
Ryan; its fine see u tmr
Ryan made a U turn & drove to buy some food.
The last minute thing kinda bothered Ryan but atleast she didn't make it all the way to Lauren's house.
Ryan got some food & drove home.
Ryan went inside & Gaby turned around.
"That was quick.. what happened?"
"My mom is getting sexed on & Lauren rescheduled." Ryan washed her hands in the kitchen.
Gaby is sitting at the table on her laptop, she turned around and finished typing. Ryan sat at the table also.
"What are you working on?" Ryan asked.
"Just a little homework." Gaby smiled.
"Homework? You haven't even started yet."
"False, I have. I didn't choose Clark Atlanta, I chose to go online.. I got the job in a retail store." She cheesed showing her teeth.
"Aww Congrats Gaby!" Ryan got up and hugged her.
"Okay Okay." Gaby pushed Ryan off. "since I chose to do online, I have to start classes right away."
"We have to celebrate." Ryan sat back down. "What do you wanna do?"
"Well first.. how about a party? Like a huge one?"
Ryan looked around, "uh no."
"Whattt?"
"We live in a boujie apartment building Gaby. We have to be quiet after certain hours." Ryan chuckled.
"No not here." Gaby laughed. "Like maybe a pool party—"
"No."
"Why not?"
"No pool parties.. how about, we go to California & you can celebrate with your friends?"
"At a pool?" Gaby smiled.
"Fine, stay your ass in Atlanta." Ryan ate some of her food.
Gaby laughed. "What is up with you and the pool?"
"Tired of pool parties." Ryan shrugged.
"Fine we'll have a big gathering in California."
"Sounds fun." Ryan continued to eat. "Get your homework done."
