I stepped into the room as the spell of her music pulled me in. She suddenly stopped playing and whipped her wet head around toward me.

“Oh it's you.”

“Yep.”

I smirked and went and sat down on the chair opposite her.

“What do you want?"

“Nice to see you too. Actually I need you, there is water all over my room due to the rain and I need help clearing it up. "

“There are adults too.”

“No."

I refuse to go to the adults. I would get dragged into one of their horrible conversations. I got up and looked round the room and picked up an old acoustic guitar and sat back down.

“You play Guitar?"

Rose asked. Generally surprised.

“Yeah I was forces to learn an instrument by my parents. I have never really liked it. "

It was true. My parents thought it suitable for their child to be musical. I enjoy the music. Just not when its force fed...

“Ah, I begged my parents to let me play an instrument. I honestly love music it gives me a sense of normality in the crazy world. "

I could tell she honestly love it. Her eyes seemed to smile As well as her perfect lips.

I still don't know why but I had been honest with her and then I did something even I didn't expect to do.

I started to strum the first few chords of a song and sang.

I had chosen Heaven by Bryan Adams. I may be a 'Bad Boy' but I honestly love this song. As soon as I could play the guitar well I learned this song.

I sang the first line quietly.

I then closed my eyes and carried on strumming, Just losing myself for the first time in forever in the music.

My eyes flew open at the sudden piano accompaniment. Rose sat turned to the piano and tapped the notes out as I sung.

As I was about to sing the next verse Rosalind interrupted me with her melodic voice. She was still facing the piano but it was like she was her heart out and that made me smile. Her voice suited the song perfectly...

I finished the song and looked up. It worked well unexpectedly, I did not expect Rose to join in and I also didn't expect to look at her and see the shimmer of tears in her eyes.

I Got up and sat next to her and smiled. She returned me the same smile.

Maybe I like her.

Maybe, she can make my walls crumble.

And it's scary.

I'm falling hard for a nerd.
