Melody's PoV

I run through the woods at super speed, miraculously avoiding all the trees and branches surrounding me as I find my way through. I notice a waterfall nearby and take a huge leap following my gorgeous husband, before running to a stop in his arms.

He smiles at me, turning me around. My back pressed against his chest, him whispering into my ear.

"Close your eyes," he instructs.

I automatically comply, as he holds his hands around my waist.

"What do you hear?" He asks me.

I feel my ear twitch at the sounds filling the current area. I listen out, hearing an owl hooting, a squirrel gnawing on some nuts. Until finally I hear a deer, brushing through the nearby leaves and bushes, causing them to rustle faintly.

I break free from Edward and follow the sound of the deer, crouching as I observe my prey from a far. I go to make the attack when I get a breeze hit my nose. The overwhelming smell of blood hits me. I frown as I look over into the distance where it was coming from and notice a man climbing the cliff. I could smell the sweat and blood emitting from his body.

"Melody, don't!"

My throat lets out an involuntary growl as I jump off the rock I'm standing on and speed off towards the man. I rush over to the cliff, jumping onto it with my hands breaking the rock as I force myself up. I'm about to attack the man when I reach a landing and Edward appears behind me.

"Melody, stop!" Edward calls out, as I turn to him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize they'd be people this far off in the trail," he apologises, noticing my discomfort.

I glance up and see the man, my eyes narrowing onto the blood.

I shake my head, growling at Edward, "I have to get out of here!"

He nods and holds his hands out to me, "okay, I could help you."

I glare at him angrily and jump off the cliff. Falling back to the ground, speeding off back to where the deer was. I stand between two trees, stalking my prey. I'm about to catch the deer when I hear a mountain lion leap towards the deer.

Taking the opportunity I jump to intervene and wrap my arms around the lion, holding it down forcefully, as I straddle it, snapping it's neck, before biting hard into its skin feeding from it. Once I'm down I take a seat next to it and apologise.

"I'm so sorry," I whisper, feeling extremely guilty for my actions.

I sense Edward behind me, as I stand up, brushing down my dark green dress.

"I..I didn't want to, but...." I trail off.

He waves me off offering me a look of understanding, "it's okay. This will all become easier eventually."

I frown slightly, "but I don't want to kill these innocent animals."

He sighs," it's better than killing an innocent human being."
