Melody's PoV

Seattle is in a state of terror. Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances. Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live... ..

I stare at the news on the TV before Carlisle turns it off.

"It's getting worse," Carlisle says, "we're going to have to do something."

Jasper nods, "It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting, quite a few more. And they're undisciplined, conspicuous."

"It's newborns," Edward realises, obviously reading Jasper's thoughts.

"What, like new vampires?" Bella asks.

"Most likely," I whisper to her.

Edward then speaks up, glancing at me, "The first few months after the change. That's when we're at our most uncontrollable."

Jasper nods, "Vicious. Insane with thirst."

Emmett then grins at Bella and I, "Something to look forward to."

I roll my eyes, turning my attention back to Jasper.

"No one's trained these newborns, but this isn't random," Jasper tells us.

"Someone's creating an army," Carlisle sighs.

Emmett then stands up enthusiastically, "now we're definitely going to Seattle."

"Sit down Emmett," I say, rolling my eyes at him again.

"An army of vampires," Bella says looking extremely uncomfortable.

I too, sit there thinking about how shit this situation is becoming. An army of vampires, no doubt after Bella and I.

"And they've been created to fight someone," Jasper states.

Edward looks at him confused, "but we're the only clan even close to Seattle."

"Regardless of why they were made, if we don't put a stop to them the volturi will. I'm surprised they've let it go on this long," Carlisle informs us.

Edward scoffs, "Maybe they're behind it. In Italy, I read Aro's mind, he wants Alice, Melody and I to join him."

I look up, as I hear my name, "why would he want me to join?"

Edward shrugs, "he thinks your going to be powerful when you turn."

I sigh, "great."

Bella then speaks up, "But he must know that you would never choose him."

Edward nods, "yes, he knows that we'll never choose him as long as our family is still alive."

Ashton scoffs, "An army could solve that for him."

I could sense Ashton's anger, I mean someone wanted to take his brother away from him. All just because of a power he had. I would be pissed off too.
